#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • THE BLOCKBUSTER JACK REACHER SERIES THAT INSPIRED TWO MAJOR MOTION PICTURES AND THE STREAMING SERIES REACHER

“Reacher gets better and better. . . . [This is the] craftiest and most highly evolved of Lee Child’s electrifying Reacher books.”—Janet Maslin, The New York Times

A bus crashes in a savage snowstorm and lands Jack Reacher in the middle of a deadly confrontation. In nearby Bolton, South Dakota, one brave woman is standing up for justice in a small town threatened by sinister forces. If she’s going to live long enough to testify, she’ll need help. Because a killer is coming to Bolton, a coldly proficient assassin who never misses.

Reacher’s original plan was to keep on moving. But the next 61 hours will change everything. The secrets are deadlier and his enemies are stronger than he could have guessed—but so is the woman he’ll risk his life to save.

"One of my favorites by far. I don't want to give too much away but the story starts out with Reacher on a bus and it crashes. The passengers are taken to a nearby town, Bolton, South Dakota. It seems like for such a small town they have a large and busy police force. Reacher soon learns that they are trying to protect a witness to a crime, Janet Salter, who can singlehandedly take down the local biker gang that is dealing meth on the outskirts of town. Well of course Reacher gets involved...he's Reacher right?? Child did an excellent job making the reader feel the setting of the freezing cold South Dakota town. I found myself wanting to put on a blanket while I was reading it. I don't want to give anything away...but it ends in a pretty big cliffhanger. I have read all of the Reacher books in order and I think this is the best so far!"

" I really liked this. I've only read the first two Reachers before this. Those were so action filled and a lot of minutiae but this was a bit more cerebral and focused more on Reacher's interactions with the other characters. Loved that. "

" Brrr! All that snow! You have to be tough to live in South Dakota! And Reacher is one tough dude. And the ending - well, you will just have to read it! And the good news, no graphically gruesome scenes like in his first 3 Reacher books. This one is #14. "One Shot" (#9) was the first one that I read and it didn't have the graphic scenes either. "
