" I love Tamora Pierce, but I was a little let down by this collection of stories. It honestly could have been better. It was nice to catch up with past characters and see what their lives looked like after the novels ended but I wasn't really swept away by each story as I was hoping. If you are a fan of Miss Pierce you should take a swing at the book, you may have a different opinion than I. However, if you are a new reader, don't start here. Start with the Song of the Lioness quarter to fall in love with Tortall as is right. "
