She'll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals—not least between her and a certain centuries-old green-eyed Master vampire.

"Chloe Neill delivers again! Without a doubt this has got to be one of my favourite urban fantasy/paranormal romance series EVER! I was hooked from book one and the series only seems to be getting better. Neill's established vampire world has now evolved to include those of other supernatural backgrounds. Merit with her quirky, sassy nature is truely a delight to read about, she constantly serves to entertain throughout the good and the bad. The introduction of new characters gave the story a nice twist that led to plenty of action packed scenes and emotional breakouts (from me that is). Overall i think Neill has delivered another superb novel to add to her already spectacular series and i am not so patiently waiting for book 4, Hard Bitten!"

" This is my favorite in the series so far. Great story line between the vamps and shifters. We get some delicious development in the tension between Sullivan and Sentinel. We also finally learn Merit's first name! This secret has bothered me through the first two books and half of this book. I really enjoyed the audio on this one; great listen. "
