"This is a chilling, fast-paced thriller. No one does this better than Lisa Gardner, but like all of Gardner's books, the story is about more than a murder, more than just the thrilling ride. This book is about the disintegration of the perfect family, which we see through flashbacks and present day narrative. The tension is so high that it was almost painful ... so painful that I actually went to the back of the book and read the end, then went back and finished the book in order! I recommend all of Lisa Gardner's books. She's one of the best psychological thriller/mystery writers out there."

Quotes

  • “Lisa Gardner, the master of the psychological thriller, has delivered another tour de force with Touch & Go, which exposes the raw nerves of a family imploding, and an investigator trying to escape her past…Gardner does an amazing job of creating realistic situations and characters with emotional resonance. The constant surprises will shock even the most jaded thriller reader.”

    — Associated Press
  • “Gardner effectively alternates between the physical and emotional disintegration of the family under the pressure of their captivity and the efforts of Invesigator Tessa Leoni and company to dig into the secrets of Denbe Construction, its key employees, and its finances, as well as to locate the Denbes. The suspense builds as the action races to a spectacular conclusion and the unmasking of the plot’s mastermind.”

    — Publishers Weekly
  • “A thrill ride…Even readers who figure out the ringleader long before Investigators Tessa and Wyatt will get behind on their sleep turning pages to make sure they’re right.”

    — Kirkus Reviews
  • “Gardner’s depiction of a woman in the midst of emotional chaos is spot on, as usual, and she proves herself just as capable when it comes to creating intriguing men. Readers will want to see more of Wyatt, just as they grew to appreciate Bobby Dodge in Gardner’s earlier books.”

" Once again, Lisa Gardner doesn't disappoint. Like all her others, I could hardly put this book down. When I read my first Lisa Gardner book, it was SO good that I immediately picked up another and after the second great read, she became one of "those" authors (Karin Slaughter is another one that comes to mind and my newest favorite, Gillian Flynn) whom I will read regardless of the topic. I loved the first two books I read of Lisa's so much, I bought all her others and read them in order. I eagerly await each new book from this fabulous writer! "

" Okay, so I have been reading books where authors just wrapped up an ending in two pages, leaving me needing more and unsatisfied. Lisa Gardner did not leave me hanging! I LOVE her and this book was no disappointment. What a great twist at the end, even though halfway through, I saw it coming...only because I have read so many of her books, I know how she thinks! I cannot wait for her next book! I HIGHLY recommend! "

" This book deserves more than 5 stars! Like most of Gardner's books, it is very suspenseful and will keep your interest to the last page. I liked the fact that even though the husband kept having affairs and planned on leaving his wife, she actually won in the end. A great book. "
