Publisher Description

WHO DO YOU LOVE?

One question, a split-second decision, and Brian Darby lies dead on the kitchen floor. His wife, state police trooper Tessa Leoni, claims to have shot him in self-defense, and bears the bruises to back up her tale. For veteran detective D. D. Warren it should be an open-and-shut case. But where is their six-year-old daughter?

AND HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO . . .

As the homicide investigation ratchets into a frantic statewide search for a missing child, D. D. Warren must partner with former lover Bobby Dodge to break through the blue wall of police brotherhood, seeking to understand the inner workings of a trooper’s mind while also unearthing family secrets. Would a trained police officer truly shoot her own husband? And would a mother harm her own child?

. . . TO SAVE HER?

For Tessa Leoni, the worst has not yet happened. She is walking a tightrope, with nowhere to turn, no one to trust, as the clock ticks down to a terrifying deadline. She has one goal in sight, and she will use every ounce of her training, every trick at her disposal, to do what must be done. No sacrifice is too great, no action unthinkable. A mother knows who she loves. And all others will be made to pay.

"This Book was Amazing, I Fell in Love With Tessa Leoni From Page 1 and kept falling even up until the last page I respected her and she just came a live for me it was extremely hard for me to put this book down the first night i read and read and by the time i looked up at the clock it was 4:30 am the next morning. The one thing/person in this book that i have a gripe about is DD yes she did mature in this book ( Finally!!!) but not by much she still had that annoying "dog with a bone" problem going even if she was on the wrong track and it was proven several times she would not let go i really wish this character were more developed and had better people skills instead of assuming everybody is automatically the bad guy"

" Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Pace was fast with twists and turns and although you could sort of guess what way it was heading it still kept you turning the pages. From the way Tessa was portrayed you knew whatever she could not be the bad guy. "

" Mind blowing, suspenseful! I love a novel that wraps you up and you have no idea whether you're coming or going! I was on the edge of my seat, scared that Tessa was guilty, praying she was innocent, and completely and totally upset at D.D. for being so narrow minded, but Lisa has a way with words, you see just how jaded an officer can get, you see just how narrow their minds jump when confronted with a crime scene.. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. I think I found a new favorite! "
