You have good reason to be afraid. . . . It was a case that haunts Bobby Dodge to this day—the case that nearly killed him and changed his life forever. Now, in an underground chamber on the grounds of an abandoned Massachusetts mental hospital, the gruesome discovery of six mummified corpses resurrects his worst nightmare: the return of a killer he thought dead and buried. There’s no place to run. . . . Bobby’s only lead is wrapped around a dead woman’s neck. Annabelle Granger has been in hiding for as long as she can remember. Her childhood was a blur of new cities and assumed identities. But what—or who—her family was running from, she never knew. Now a body is unearthed from a grave, wearing a necklace bearing Annabelle’s name, and the danger is too close to escape. This time, she’s not going to run. You know he will find you. . . . The new threat could be the dead psychopath’s copycat, his protégé—or something far more terrifying. Dodge knows the only way to find him is to solve the mystery of Annabelle Granger, and to do that he must team up with his former lover, partner, and friend D. D. Warren from the Boston P.D. But the trail leads back to a woman from Bobby’s past who may be every bit as dangerous as the new killer—a beautiful survivor-turned-avenger with an eerie link to Annabelle. From its tense opening pages to its shocking climax, Hide is a thriller that delves into our deepest, darkest fears. Where there is no one to trust. Where there is no place left to hide.

"Bobby Dodge is back and working with D.D. Warren, now a sergeant, and the BPD, on a mass grave found on the grounds of the old Boston State Mental Hospital. It seems a lot like the work of Richard Umbrio from "Alone." I really liked how Gardner tied in a lot of characters from the first book, but introduced some new ones, such as Annabelle. I loved it and I can't wait to read the next one."

— Crystal, 2/15/2014" Intense psychological thriller, really heavy on the suspense. Certainly worth the time to read. This was the first book I read by Lisa Gardner and won't be the last. She doesn't give away too much as I read through the book, but enough to keep you spellbound. If you like a wide ride while reading, Hide delivers. "

— Dianem, 3/25/2013" One of the best mysteries I've read in a while. Kept me guessing to the end. But in a good way, not in the Dean Koontz way of not even knowing the basic plot questions until the end. "
— Smithmott, 10/27/2012" This is one of my most recent reads, following up on the previous story featuring Bobby Dodge. An enjoyable read. "
— Joan, 6/11/2012" I think the identity of the main culprit was supposed to be a surprise. It wasn't. "
— Troy, 5/29/2012" Her books are amazing - this one is really interesting. She does seem to consistently have some sorts of child abduction/abuse themes in her novels - hard to digest if you are a parent, but I can't put her books down. "

— Michelle, 5/14/2011" This is my personal favorite book by Lisa Gardner. Gripping, suspenseful, and moves at a very fast pace. I also found the plot a little more credible than some of her other books, but I will say that she does avoid repeating themes unlike some other writers *cough* (Dan Brown) *cough*. "
— Dwight, 5/13/2011" I love Lisa Gardner's books. She provides the edge of suspense of a good thriller, but also creates characters that evoke emapthy. "
— Justina, 5/13/2011" I enjoyed this book and will continue to read more of this series. It was fast moving and kept me guessing. "

— Maria, 4/19/2011" I liked this second installment in the D.D. Warren series-- not as good as Alone, though. It took a little too long to resolve everything. Still, a very good mystery/ suspense novels with good characters. "
— Anne, 4/13/2011" This was an interesting book filled with twists and turns. In the end, things seem to tie themselves up rather neatly but it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of a good suspense thriller. "
