The world’s worst fears have dawned. Nothing stands in the way of total destruction . . . except the love of one woman.
Deep in the Amazon jungle a young American woman and the son of plantation owners fall madly in love. For Tanya and Shannon, life is a paradise most only dream about.
But today paradise ends.
The jungle has hatched more than idyllic love. It has also spawned insidious evil. An evil shrouded in a plot so diabolically brilliant that all of America will be brought to its knees at the hands of a few terrorists.
The plan is executed to perfection. There is no way out . . . save an ancient woman whose dark past has led her to a life of prayer in preparation for the unspeakable terror coming unleashed.

"Finished Ted Dekker's first books. I enjoy reading his books, so I decided to read his first writings. This last book of the trilogy was my favorite of all three. They were all good books. This one had more intensity/suspense to it then the others. Moving on to his latest release "Identity"."
— Elaine (5 out of 5 stars)
" One of my all-time faves. "
— Lindsey, 2/20/2014" excellent book, although a bit violent. amazing show of how the love of God overcomes all things, even the worst evil. "
— Colleen, 2/8/2014" I wasn't sure that I liked it but read it all in one day so I guess I did. Another of those that doesn't teach us anything necessarily new but certainly reminds us of the ultimate priority for this life. Never a wasted lesson. "
— Donna, 2/6/2014" So full of action I was hooked immediately.... "
— Char, 2/5/2014" Good story. A typical Ted Dekker ending...which equals awesome. Haha. ;) Not my favorite book he's done, but still a worthy read. And very interesting; definitely a page-turner. "
— Kristy, 1/28/2014" My favorite so far of the Martyr's series. "
— Leigh, 1/22/2014" I loved this book. It is a great thriller and I couldn't put it down. "
— Daniel, 1/21/2014" I liked this one the best of the Martyr's Song Series - a great, fast-paced story. "
— Jenni, 1/15/2014" I liked the story, but the characters seemed a little too hyperreal for my usual tastes. This one seemed to come off as the less interesting sister of "When Heaven Weeps". It was still an interesting story reinforcing the point of sacrificial love, but a bit too over the top. "
— Jess, 1/6/2014" That's two Dekker books read and I enjoyed them both. He's a very engaging writer who's endings do not disappoint. If I had more time I'd write more, sorry Ted. "
— Kevin, 12/22/2013" It was an okay book. Definitely not my favoite of Ted Dekker's books but still it was a good read. "
— Katy, 12/6/2013" Definitely not terrible, but not his best work. Simply put, Dekker has done it again. Many twists I could foresee, some came as utter shock. The story tugged at the ol heart strings and I came out with a deeper appreciation and understanding of the battle between Heaven and Hell. "
— Tgpaulsen, 11/21/2013" Once you start this book, it is extremely hard to put it down. It is a Christian version of the Bourne Series. Awesome! "
— Sethmalmberg, 11/20/2013" This book includes characters from "The Martyr's Song"; and I would recommend reading it first. "Thunder of Heaven" is kind of a continuation into the lives of the same characters. A Christian book, it was also a good read. "
— Maranda, 11/13/2013" Another wager and story about God's will and how things always happen for a reason. This was okay, but I enjoyed Heaven's Wager much better. We will see how the next one goes. "
— Laura, 10/27/2013" If this weren't a christian book, it would be far beyond racy...it completely awesome. i cried. "
— Ashley, 6/28/2013" When life as they know it changes due to the impact of another's choice.... what follows is a battle of the mind, discovery of love, and saving the world from certain destruction.. or at least a bunch of people. "
— Jon, 3/29/2013" i started reading this book about a year ago, but i didnt really like it...so i didnt finish it...but i'll probably try reading it again so i can get a different perspective of it... "
— Annie, 11/14/2012" Honestly it might've gotten four stars if it weren't that I'm very familiar with Dekker's work by this point and know he can and has done better with this kind of plot. "
— Jenni, 7/29/2012" I didn't get very far into this book because the writing was so poor, chock-full of dependent clauses masquerading as actual complete sentences. "
— Maggie, 3/1/2012" My favorite of this series. Truly amazing. This is the book that got me excited about Ted Dekker in the first place. "
— Jessica, 12/7/2011" By far the best of the series, kept me on the edge of my seat! "
— Leigh, 11/9/2011" Another great book by Ted Dekker. You can't help but want to get to the end to find out if it all works out. Lots of action. "
— smalls, 10/25/2011" The characters in this novel really stuck with me as did Dekker's descriptions of the jungle and the mission field. Enjoyed it very much. "
— Shannon, 9/20/2011" I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!! My favorite in the Martyr Song Series, methinks. :) "
— Jessica, 9/10/2011" Another awesome book from Ted Dekker! "
— Kate, 9/2/2011" This is my favorite of all Ted Dekker's books. It's one of his earlier books. "
— Tricia, 7/1/2011" Book 3 in Martyr's Song series is Excellent! "
— Carol, 6/24/2011" Kind of kept me interested, but kind of embarrassed to have read it. He's written better. "
— Sabra, 6/8/2011" It pulled me in. Sucked me into a vortex that still resonates with me. Then it made me cry, and laugh, then cry, then pray and fell in love with every single main character. "
