Simon Steinberg and Blaire Scott are among the most respected couples in Hollywood. They have defied the Hollywood cliché and stayed together for decades. Their three children--teenage aspiring model Samantha, pre-med student Scott, and entertainment lawyer Allegra--are successful and happy. Allegra, as an attorney to the stars, has a career that consumes so much of her energy that she has little time for a private life--until a chance encounter with a New York writer turns her life upside down. Suddenly, she finds herself planning a wedding at her parents' Bel Air home.

As preparations begin, the chaos of last-minute arrangements, surprise announcements and ever-increasing anxiety brings out both the best and the worst in everyone. But while couples in each generation of the Steinberg family struggle with broken vows and new hopes, the real meaning of Allegra's wedding emerges. It is a bridge between the past and the future, an opportunity for reconciliation, forgiveness and new hope for the future--as weddings often are for us all.

" Kind of a boring story that didn't really have a purpose. "

" fun romance book takes place in NY and California............characters are believable. The main character has a therapist and tries to overcome some hangups with men she has..........she works it out and finds someone who's right for her........writing is good...a nice escape..... "

" The name of the book is a bit misleading, but it's not a terrible story, and it's not terribly written. I enjoyed it. It was an "i-can't-wait-to-get-home-from-work-so-i-can-keep-reading-this-book" kind of book, but it was enjoyable. "

" The Wedding is about Allegra, 29 andentertrainment lawyer in Hollywood. Steel writes a lot about Hollywood. She tries to include Hollywood in every context. Thats to overdo and make the books overly dramatic. Of this book Hollywood was however a natural part. That wasn't even the only good thing Stell archived in The Wedding. This time she managed to write a not so predictable book. The book had some pretty dramatic turns, and Steel really managed to surprice me, whreas in some othewr books I was already ahead of the story whole the time. Good work! Besides Hollywood really is an interesting subjekt, and Steel manges to write about the not so glamorous sides of starlife. "
