The second book of the #1 New York Times bestselling I Am Number Four series!
In the beginning, nine aliens left their home planet Lorien when it fell under attack by the evil Mogadorians. They scattered on Earth and went into hiding. They look like ordinary teenagers but have extraordinary powers. The Mogs have come for them. They killed Number One in Malaysia, Number Two in England, and Number Three in Kenya. They tried to get John Smith, Number Four, in Ohio—but they failed.
Now John has joined forces with Number Six, and they are on the run. But they are not alone. Already John and Six have inspired Marina, Number Seven, who has been hiding in Spain. She’s been following the news of what’s happening, and she’s certain this is the sign she’s been waiting for. It’s time to come together.
Michael Bay, director of Transformers, raved: “Number Four is a hero for this generation.” This epic story is perfect for fans of action-packed science fiction like The Fifth Wave series by Rick Yancey, The Maze Runner series by James Dashner, and Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game.
The battle for Earth’s survival wages on. Don’t miss the rest of the series: #3: The Rise of Nine, #4: The Fall of Five, #5: The Revenge of Seven, #6: The Fate of Ten, and #7: United as One.
Don’t miss the first book in the brand-new I Am Number Four spin-off series: Generation One.

"This book is ACTION PACKED! A fitting sequel if ever there was one and leaves you DEMANDING for the third book. Not draggy at all and is just totally forward moving but at the same time revealing more and more about what happened before like Sam's and Six's past and piecing the bigger picture. Only thing that was not very welcome was Sarah's part whereby there is a huge why involved. If it can't be explained away well enough, then the chapter is to the point of redundancy and a major damper in the book and possibly the series. I hope all is revealed in the Rise of Nine!"

— Enschmitz, 7/26/2013" Just like the first book, I'm disappointed. While the book was good, it had the potential to be awesome!!! I'm left with that flat feeling again. This will not stop me from reading book 3 though because I feel committed to this series. I'm just hoping it gets better. "
— Jenny, 6/4/2013" So ready for the next book. Just need to buy it online since I can't find it here on base. "

— Rachel, 12/23/2012" I loved how the plot begins to thicken and the characters start coming together. "
— Mae, 11/28/2012" I'm fairly certain that the conglomerate of writers that make up the fake personage of Pittacus Lore passed the writing of this book off to an entirely different writer than the last book. Because this one was better. Not great, oh not even close, but much better than "I am Number Four". "
— Marilyn, 8/15/2012" Great follow up to the first book, still leaves you hanging for the third book which hasn't even been released yet. "

— Bea, 7/9/2012" A very well versed novel by a great author.. "
— Aaron, 6/3/2012" I feel that the sequal was better than the first. It was somewhat predictable in the "big" ideas, but I had no idea how it was going to all come together. The last 100 pages were fantastic! "
— Kris, 4/21/2012" Full of suspense and character. "
— Ian, 2/1/2012" Once again, page turner. I really like these books! "
— Krystal, 1/8/2012" I am going to wait patiently for the next book! "
— Dawn, 11/7/2011" i loved the first one but this one i was let down i had a hard time getting into the book, and staying on track. I feel the book was rushed and lacked all the description and character building it had in the first. "
— Jessica, 11/7/2011" Markedly better than the first book. "
— Bobbie, 11/2/2011" Solid second outing in this series. Eagerly anticipating the Rise of Nine, which I believe the next book is called. "
— Matt, 11/1/2011" Ditto what I wrote for "I Am Number Four." "
— Michelle, 10/30/2011" This book didn't disappoint. I think it was probably better than the first book. There's lots of action. I didn't like the comments made as regard to religion. I would rather that's kept out of a book about aliens! :) "
