About Catherine Marshall

Catherine Marshall (1914–1983) began her writing career as a single mother, after the untimely death of her husband in 1949. She went on to write more than twenty books. Her greatest success was her 1967 novel, Christy, inspired by the story of her mother, which spawned a television series, a youth book series, and a made-for-television movie.

Renee Ertl is an audiobook narrator and actress with more than a hundred voice-over, print, on-camera commercial, and corporate video projects to her credit. She started working in the industry as an actress in summer stock and dinner theater, and she has traveled extensively, performing on cruise ships and touring with “Up with People.”
