"I found this book to be very helpful in my quest to permanently change some of my not so helpful eating habits. What I liked most about the book is that it doesn't talk about what you should eat or not eat, but talks about your thinking, beliefs and attitudes about yourself and food that either help you or sabotage you in your efforts to eat healthy. The basic premise is that whether it's conscious or unconscious, any time we act, we have thoughts that proceed that act. And the key to alter behavior is to examine the thinking that leads to your actions."

" Training book for Thinking Like a Thin Person! "
— Debbie, 2/18/2014" I really like this book. I've read my fair share of diet books but most of them focus on which foods to eat, not how to adjust your approach to food. "
— Stacy, 2/13/2014" Good information. The practice of writing things down and reading daily is probably beneficial, but I don't see myself putting it to use. "
— Wendy, 2/10/2014" Good theory but just couldn't program my mind like she would like. "
— Melissa, 1/30/2014" The Beck Diet solution makes clear many of the psychological issues involved in eating and dieting. For that reason, it will work with any diet, because it's not so much about what you're eating, but why. Beck encourages the reader to take a good hard look at why we do what we do. "
— Rose, 1/21/2014" thinking like a thin person isn't easy! "
— Dawn, 1/20/2014" Loved this - so true. Lots of things to think about and incorporate into my lifestyle. "
— Brenda, 1/20/2014" Step-by-step sensible advice on changing your mindset for life long weight loss. "
— Happyreader, 12/4/2013" Cognitive therapy approach to fixing unhealthy eating habits. Straight forward and easy to follow. It is a self guided workbook. Loved it! "
— Kathryn, 10/15/2013" Great motivational tool! Beck uses the cognitive therapy approach, which, duh, is no surprise since her father was Aaron Beck, the father of the cognitive therapy movement. "
— Wellst, 6/15/2013" Started out good, but most of the strategies offered were basically common sense. A good reminder of why to build healthy eating habits, but nothing most people don't already know. "
