Publisher Description

The Angel Gabriel's message as told in the Christmas Carol is a story of hope, love, and redemption. The story begins with the angel Gabriel appearing to the Virgin Mary and telling her that she will give birth to the Son of God. This news is both shocking and wonderful to Mary, who is unsure of what to do next. However, the angel tells her not to be afraid and that she has been chosen by God for this special task. Charles Bordes composed the tune while researching traditional Basque music. He published several of these traditional songs, and some were popularised elsewhere in Europe. This recording offers reading of the English language text followed by magical Harp music based on original composition.
