"I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Jillian Michaels is such an inspiration to me and I love her no-nonesense, let's get real approach to giving advice. She is honest, smart, and witty. The advice in this book is all truth! The truth of the advice is that it's not easy to follow. I have found in life that what is worth having is not always easy and this definitely applies to getting fit and taking care of yourself. I follow a lot of the tips she gives already and I love how I feel when I treat my body right. I really think the points system that Jillian draws up and offers in this book is fantastic. It's real and you can certainly apply it to your life easily. Whether you want it easiest (1), easier (2), or tougher (3), the approach will most-likely make you better for it! She offers a lot of great ideas, simple recipes, and products that are organic and healthy that you can get at your local grocery store. She gives you nitty gritty on calorie counting, BMR (basal metabolic rate), and even introduces her free app, Slim Down with Jillian Michaels, which is great!! For me, getting real with portion sizes, calorie counting, and figuring out my own BMR and how much I burn is what helped me with the jump start to getting healthier and seeing weight come off! Fantastic read, a definite must-buy and keep for referring to when you need realistic advice! Awesome!"

" Some great advice, presented in a non-threatening way with options that enable you to customize the advice to your life-style. Take what you need from the book, and leave what you don't. The information is not new to anyone who has struggled with their weight for any length of time, but the format may work for some. I found I had forgotten the first part of the chapter by the end of the chapter, so it was a bit of a struggle to read for me. I was also disappointed with the workout information presented. But, it's Jillian Michaels and she is motivating and inspiring, so I give it a thumbs-up. "

" I am a big fan of Jillian Michaels and her workout DVDs so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I read her newest book on diet and exercise. I think the only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because she's not saying anything new (she even points that out in the beginning of the book). That being said, she's a great motivator and a very no-nonsense person. I recommend this book for people who are struggling to start healthy living. Great tips, though if you try to apply all of them at once, you will fail. Just saying. "

" I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Jillian's book! Lots of common sense and realistic tips and information. She is not a flowery writer, and gets pretty down and dirty at times, but she seems to really know her stuff. Most of the information I already knew, but the book is chock full of great tips and a few I just needed cemented in my mind. Definitely recommend. "

" As someone who listens to Jillian's podcasts, uses all her workout DVDs, watches her on Biggest Loser and has read her other books, this particular book was good but not life-changing. I personally liked "Master your Metabolism" a lot better because it goes deeper and is more medically/scientifically based. This book would be a great introduction to people wanting to change their health in a long-lasting, healthy way. I skimmed a bit of it, but it covers everything from dressing right to specific exercise moves to how to curb cravings, etc. It was really a book of tips, but tips that are doable. Jillian does a good job of simplifying health and weight loss so that people can't make excuses anymore. She lets you tailor the tips to your level and then helps you work through them. "

" This is not just a "one-time" read. There are so many tips and tricks in it that it is impossible to remember them all. A lot of the tips and tricks are so easy, they are easy to incorporate them into very day life. It also has a lot of practical sense. "

" I am only starting chapter 2. So far I have to say this is the best book I have read to date of this topic. I do not believe in "Diets". In this book (so). She is talking about healthy eating about what really is in food. It is proving to be realistic and I am liking it a lot!!!! "
