"This third book in the Hauck series really kept me turning the pages, and Andrew Gross seems to have finally gotten a competent proof reader as well. It was a great story, although a bit far-fetched. Hauck is once again chasing the bad guys, and with the government's blessing, although he has retired from the police force. The premise is a bit far-fetched, and what is deemed to be ironclad evidence sometimes seems like it would be thrown out of court as circumstantial in the real world, but it was entertaining. As usual, Hauck narrowly escapes death several times throughout the book. I'm starting to think that Andrew Gross is modeling Ty Hauck after James Patterson's Alex Cross, with a new love interest introduced in each book. Although Andrew Gross is no James Patterson, his books keep me interested and turning the pages, so he succeeds as far as I'm concerned. I'm looking forward to reading his 4th book in the series."

" This is a fantastic book. The characters are engrossing, the pace is very quick, and the conclusion keeps you guessing. You really get into this book. I highly recommened it to any and all readers who love a good thriller. "

" This is a fast paced thriller/mystery that I was quite impressed with. The book starts out a little slower than the second half of the book, but it is still pretty engaging throughout. The book follows Hauck, a local businessman that use to be a cop, as he follows a string of deaths in the financial industry in what leads to a conspiracy against the United States. The book was about the right length and a fun read. "

" I am partial to everything Andrew Gross writes. He knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat and he knows the lay of the land no matter where his characters go. I loved his tie ins with the current state of investment houses and banks in the world. Very current and intelligent. "

" Andrew Gross weave a very fine story. This storyline can be plucked right out of today's headlines. Power, corruption and the possiblity of taking down a country's economics by a few people is so real that maybe, just maybe this is really happening. "

" A very engrossing read--ripped from our current front page news. Although I enjoyed the storyline, I found myself wishing we had a modern-day hero the likes of the fictious Ty Hauck, to clean up our current financial crisis. A book that gives "cause for pause". "
