Of all the dukes in England, Jered Marcus Benton, the Duke of Bradford, was the wealthiest, most handsome—and most arrogant. And of all London’s ladies, he wanted the tender obedience of only one—Caroline Richmond.
She was a ravishing beauty from Boston, with a mysterious past and a fiery spirit. Drawn to the powerful duke, undeterred by his presumptuous airs, Caroline was determined to win his lasting love. But Bradford would bend to no woman—until a deadly intrigue drew them enticingly close. Now, united against a common enemy, they would discover the power of the magnificent attraction that brought them together…a desire born in danger, but destined to flame into love!

"Caroline and Bradford are the two most stubborn people ever, but you got to love them. I believe my favorite part in this book would have to be when Bradford races home (where caroline has been seperated from him in a different part of the house) to protect caroline and relizes that he loves her more than anything."

" Quick and easy romance fix. Don't expect a whole lot of depth but the characters are likeable enough. "
— Huong, 2/13/2014" not her best work, but still one of my favorite authors ever!!! "
— Kelley, 2/10/2014" I didn't get it. Since I'm a fan of historical romances, this book did not pass my taste. It was ok, too common and predictable. "
— Jona, 1/24/2014" I bought the abridged Rebellious Desire on audio to complete the Speaking of Audiobooks 2011 Listening Challenge (listen to an abridged book). I thought it was just fine. The narration was decent if not inspired, and the story had no major flaws. As always, I think abridgments leave the reader just a little confused since background info and character motives are often left out, but the book was enjoyable. Getting it on sale for less than $4 was a plus. ;-) "
— Carrie, 1/20/2014" It was fun to read an early work of hers. Her writing has really improved, and her plots and character development has improved by leaps and bounds. What made the book interesting was that she had a solid base from which to start. "
— Mum, 1/8/2014" I love Rebellious Desire that is once again fast, fun and easy to read like all of the other Julie Garwood's books I have read. "
— Niki, 1/3/2014" A bit too much chivalry for my taste. "
— West, 8/11/2013" Another great read by Garwood!! "
— Danette, 11/14/2012" I re-read. I really do enjoy Julie Garwood most of the time. "
— Moira, 3/24/2012" My first regency romance by Julie Garwood. I don't know how to express what I feel about this particular book. All I know is I prefer her highlander romance novels. I was not drawn in, & it was not a romantic success. "
