Publisher Description

National best-selling author Lisa Wingate has inspired countless readers with her homegrown tales from her Texas Hill Country series. Archeologist Lindsey Attwood is distraught that her ex-husband has taken their eight-year-old daughter to Mexico for the summer. To take her mind off her worries, she agrees to visit her twin sister Laura and best friend Collie to help find stolen fossilized dinosaur tracks. But Lindsey soon discovers more than she bargained for, including a friendly mutt and hunky cowboy/veterinarian Zack Truitt.

"This one was definitely the best of the trilogy. I had never even heard of Wingate until I stumbled across someone selling a number of books, including the second one in the trilogy, Lone Star Cafe. I got that and checked the others out from the library to read the complete series. I have to say, that dollar spent was well-worth discovering these stories! I especially related to the character Lindsey, a single mother who has been burned in the past, and is afraid to love again. As Lindsey gained insight during a horse psychology class, I felt like I was taking in the same lessons. After reading the previous books, I was concerned that the stories might get too predictable like other romances tend to, but this one took a couple of unexpected turns that made me get into the story even more. After this series, I'm definitely a new Lisa Wingate fan, and plan to look into some of her other series soon!"

" This book was recommended to me by one of my best friends. It's what I term a "fluff" book. This is not a degrading term. It just means light reading, requiring not a great deal of deep thinking. Just plain entertaining. "

" You know how you like the taste of whipped cream, but once you swallow it, you can't remember exactly how it tastes? This book is like that. I liked it while I was reading and could hardly wait to finish it, but when it was done, I realized I couldn't remember anything about it. "

" I've heard the Tending Roses group of books by this same author are really good, but my library system doesn't have them yet. I like Wingate's characters and writing. This book goes together with Lone Star Cafe, if I remember right. There is a bit of mystery, a bit of romance, and a lot of charm in these easy reads. "
