"I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next. I was worried when I began reading Blood Rights because it started out slow compared to the books I have read in the past recently. But as I got farther into the book I was able to connect to the characters and enjoy it so much more. When I got close to the end I started to fill with anticipation of what would happen next. I would most defiantly recommend Blood Rights."

" I'm happy with a solid 4 stars for this. The world building was fantastic, the premise refreshing in a subgenre that feels drenched in vampire stories. I found the writing a good mix of 3 dimensional characters and a fast-paced plot. Looking forward to the next in the series. "
— CaroB, 2/16/2014" Firstly, the book has a stunning cover.Secondly, this is the first book in a very long time that has only taken me 2 days to read!I simply could not put it down.Love the vampire world this author has created, it has a sharp egde to it that ive found lacking in other books.Cannot wait for nr 2!!! "

— liezels, 1/31/2014" blah an angsty back and forth between tortured cursed vampire and glowing golden girl with special blood and kick ass fighting skills - Buffy/Angel rehash much??? "
— Pat, 12/31/2013" Just on the positive side of 3 stars. I will continue the series, as there's a lot of potential built into the intricate mythology Painter has created. "
— Suzanne, 12/29/2013" More like 2.5 stars. Took me forever to finish... "
— Angela, 12/21/2013" 4.5, I would have given it 5 if Mal was a bit more of an individual, he was a bit 2D I guess. "
— Chookristine, 12/8/2013" Was very redundant in the middle but got MUCH better at the end! "
— Kirsten, 12/7/2013" Great start to a new series, loved it!! I highly recommend it! "

— Kim, 6/1/2013" I was over reading vampire-ish books but somehow came across this. It had too many POVs for my taste but I did enjoy it and it had a few twists I actually didn't see coming. "
— Alex, 1/29/2013" I adored the twists to the plot and the characters were so vivid. I craved more romance, but understand and appreciate the buildup. "
— Kristina, 1/15/2013" Kristen Painter has given us a unique world in this new vampire series along with very intriguing characters that paint a picture of danger and the stirrings of war between the light and the dark. I can't wait to read Flesh and Blood. "
