Publisher Description

Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle's body bears the telltale marks of a comarré—a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility. When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.

Now, Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.

"The cover of this book captured me in the store, so I bought all 3 of the books I saw there. This is the first, Blood Rights. Defintely an interesting take on the fantasty/sci-fi/vampitres are people too genre. Unlike certain other series, this series revolves around a seriously kick-ass female. All the elements are here- goodies, baddies, one brooding goodie with a dark side; love interests and plot lines to spare. Enjoyable."

" okay. The cover of this book fasinated me. So I picked it up and read the prologue. I couldn't put it down. I had to find out what happened. Chrysabelle is absolutely wicked & Malkolm is cursed. There is a surprise twist at the end that I never saw coming. I cannot wait until I dive in the next book to see what happens next! "

" It's entertaining. The kind where you don't have to think too much when you're in the mood for that. I learned different words like comarre/comar, sacre, dominus and so on. "

" This book sucked me in the same way as the Fever series. Though neither series are in my top three. They don't hold that substanance we get from October Daye, Kitty, and Iron Druid. "

" I have to commend the author for an original story line. But sadly this book failed to hold my attention. I read it because I started it not because I couldn't help but finish it. "

" Buffy & Angel meets Being Human was my first impression of this book. I absolutely loved it!!! I was looking to get hooked on a new series and this is definitely it. Kristen Painter has created a variety of interesting material to work with. I hope book 2 is just as entertainting or even more! "
