Eons ago, vampires tried to turn the Dark Fae in order to harness their power. Instead, they created a demonic enemy more powerful than they dared to dream. Bent on enslaving the world, the Vampiric Fae have been quietly massing their strength for centuries. Now, Myst, queen of the Indigo Court, is rising again...and a long-prophesied war is brewing.

Born a witch, Cicely Waters can control the wind. When her Elemental warns her that her aunt and cousin are in danger, she packs her Pontiac GTO and returns home for the first time in 20 years. But the magical town of New Forest, Washington, has changed.

The Indigo Court holds the city in fear, people are vanishing, and strange deaths plague the town. Swept into an unexpected and passionate reunion with her trusted childhood friend Grieve, the Fae prince who taught her how to harness the wind, Cicely finds herself with a fierce and territorial lover. But Grieve has become enslaved by Myst's court, and now both lovers must walk a fine line to survive the machinations of the Vampiric Fae Queen. Caught between two evils, both vying for supremacy, Cicely must fight for her family and her future. As she discovers the hidden secrets to her own heritage, will she lose her soul in the process?

" Wavering between a 3 and a 4... I give the 4 simply because Cicely is a good, non-badassitude main character. A 3 simply because I HATE the oh this goth-guy and that goth-guy! Enough! As a former Goth, I am telling you, the trend (aka the look) died in 1995... "

" A great story of Fae, undead, magic, and past lives merging to making a tantalizing and riveting tale. With violence, blood, and sex this is a page turner right from the beginning. The characters are a little underdeveloped but the plot line is completely original and very interesting. Can't wait for the next installment. "

" I was highly impressed with Night Myst. It is the first novel from Yasmine Galenorn that I have had the pleasure to read. All of the characters were created beautifully. I can't wait to read the second in this series. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. I was consumed by the characters and the story line and her writing. It is an incredible read and I would highly suggest reading it. "

" So-so read. I really liked the Tea & Chintz series this author wrote a few years ago, but haven't cared much for any of her urban fantasies. This one was not an exception to that. Won't bother with more. "

" Vampires, fae, fae that are vampires, shape shifters, witches, tattoo's that come to life... it was all a bit much for me. "

" Ummm...not really loving this. You sort of get dumped in and there is all this information dumped on the main character (and YOU)...that is really disjointed. Even the "love interest" you are expecting is confusing... "

" I love Galenorn's sister series, and this book has potential, but not nearly as good as the other ones. It also felt a bit like I was foloowoing the sister's plot, just with idfferent characters. "

" Just finished Night Myst. I really enjoyed it. It was very dark and sexy. The characters and plot build quickly but build in a way that you can still grasp what's going on. The ending was a little abrupt for me - but I'm hopeful that the next book takes care of that. "

" The entire book I kept wondering when the climax would occur. I got to the last page and could not believe it was over. Cheated, I realized the story was never intended to be more than exposition for the next book in the series. What a let down. "

" Definately a page turner! I had a hard time putting down the book. I was totally drawn into Cicely's world and couldn't help but feel sorrow by the end of the book. What a cliff hanger geez! Can't wait till the next book which comes out this summer. Urban fantasy at it's best! "
