Murder. It's a tragic event in the life of any family. It's also something that demands answers. Sandra Brown's Low Pressure is an incredible journey for the murder mystery fan. If you love solving crimes, this is one audiobook you'll enjoy from beginning to end.
Low Pressure follows the story of Bellamy, whose life was turned upside down when her older sister Susan was killed when Bellamy was only twelve years old. Bellamy's memory of the event is fuzzy, and the fact that the murder scene was destroyed by a tornado on that fateful Memorial Day eighteen years ago doesn't help matters any.
In an attempt to deal with the loss of her sister, Bellamy publishes a book about her sister's murder that becomes a best-selling novel. Even though she uses a pseudonym to protect her family's privacy, it isn't long before a nosey tabloid reporter uncovers the truth...the whole truth.
The result is a deep desire to find answers. What really happened on that day eighteen years ago? Who might have some answers for Bellamy? Who among the people Bellamy loves the most might be trying to cover up a huge secret? And will she remain alive long enough to find out the truth?
Since Sandra Brown began her writing career in 1981, she has become the author of sixty-two best selling books, including Lethal and Tough Cut. In 2008, Sandra was given the Thriller Master award from the International Thriller Writer's Association. The award is the most sought-after award that the association offers. Sandra's books range from thrillers to romance. She has even written a powerfully moving story surrounding the events of The Great Depression called Rainwater.
"While Low Pressure is not Ms. Brown's best, it's still worth the time and money as she just does not write a bad book. The mystery isn't complicated (by Sandra Brown standards), and there are a couple of twists that keep things interesting. The heroine was a little bland and the hero is the typical surly bad-boy persona that fans of the author have come to expect. The story moves at a slower pace than I'm used to, but it kept me interested nevertheless."
