"I think, having read the book, I understand better why we must pray--God needs us to. The author quotes Ezek 22: 30 & 31 and then comments: "The passage is clearly saying, 'While My justice demanded judgement, My love wanted forgiveness. Had I been able to find a human to ask Me to spare this people, I could have. It would have allowed Me to show mercy. Because I found no one, however, I had to destroy them.'" In a real way God is giving us the terrible responsibilty to take part in bringing His love to the world. We can wish He had chosen a different path, but we must accept that He knows best. I never really felt this before reading this book."

" The best book on intercessory prayer I've ever read. In my opinion, Sheets does not develop a fully biblical picture of God's Sovereignty in this book so that can be a little struggle at times. But his contribution to this work of intercession is so profound, helpful, practical, challenging, and inspiration that it deserved five stars in my eyes. If 4 1/2 was an option, I would have selected it. This would be true of almost all Christian book read, but the more developed reality of seeing everything through a covenantal framework would strengthen more the impact of the content of this book. "

About Dutch Sheets
Dutch Sheets is an internationally known conference speaker, pastor, and author. He has written many books, including Authority in Prayer and the bestseller Intercessory Prayer. He travels extensively as a guest lecturer. He is fervent in empowering believers for passionate prayer and world-changing revival and is also the senior pastor of Freedom Church in Colorado Springs. He and his wife, two daughters, and three dogs live at the base of the Rocky Mountains.
About Robertson Dean
Robertson Dean has played leading roles on and off Broadway and at dozens of regional theaters throughout the country. He has a BA from Tufts University and an MFA from Yale. His audiobook narration has garnered ten AudioFile Earphones Awards. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he works in film and television in addition to narrating.
