The more I read of Monica McCarty, the more I want to know about what happens to the rest of the characters in her books. I like how all of her series flow into one another, and how she has little historically accurate notes at the end. She seems very knowledgeable about the time period, and includes details that most people (like me!) would never get around to discovering on their own. As they are all very loosely based on real people and events, it's great to read the facts that inspired her stories, as well as the extra goodies and the yummy highlanders that all come from somewhere in dreamland.
