All hell breaks loose when two unforgettable people discover love, laughter, passion — and a match that can only be made in Heaven.
Come heck or high water, Gracie Snow is determined to drag the legendary ex-jock Bobby Tom Denton back home to Heaven, Texas, to begin shooting his first motion picture. Despite his dazzling good looks and killer charm, Bobby Tom has reservations about being a movie star — and no plans to cooperate with a prim and bossy Ohio wallflower whom he can’t get off his mind or out of his life. Instead, the hell-raising playboy decides to make her over from plain Jane to Texas wildcat.
But nothing’s more dangerous than a wildcat with an angel’s heart in a town too small for a bad boy to hide.

"This book was a bumpy ride. It took a while to get into it but after about 30% things started to really pick up, and it held my interest for a while. It had lots of laughs but lots of eye rolling moments too. The heroine is kind of TSTL but if you suspend reality she becomes funny and cute instead of stupid. The ending was a bit of a kill joy. The reason the heroine was upset at the hero and wanted to leave was really dumb. I wish the author would have thought of something better for her to be pissed of about because I wasn't buying it. It definitely ruined the ending for me and I was enjoying the book up until that point. I could have also done without the secondary romance, but on a whole, the story-line of the plain jane winning the handsome jock was fun to read. The football quiz at the end was a nice touch and it made me smile. 3.5 stars"

" I liked this novel much better the second time I read it. B.T. didn't piss me off as much. "
— Jennifer, 2/8/2014" I really liked some of the other books in this series, so decided to read them all in order. I liked this one, but there was a point in the middle where I put it down for awhile because it was getting slow. Still, when I picked it back up again and forced myself to go forward, I started really getting into it and even getting teary-eyed in a few places. "
— Sheila, 2/7/2014" The second Stars football series. This story features the gorgeous wide receiver from Texas and the shy girl from Ohio. Bobby Tom Denton and Gracie Snow. "
— Anne, 2/1/2014" Gracie Snow is way over her head with Bobby Tom Denton. Second in the Chicago stars series "
— Rebecca, 1/28/2014" Cute story about a naive woman from the midwest working as a movie production assistant trying to keep a hot shot ex quarterback turned movie star in line. Light but enjoyable. "
— Pmcdnld2, 1/12/2014" It had all the romance stereo-types (dream man, ugly duckling, makeover etc) but it was so skilfully woven together into a magical ride. Lovely, laugh aloud romantic read. "
— Fairyposs, 1/3/2014" I LOVED this book! I've said that about all the books in the Chicago Stars series but, this one may be my favorite. The unpublished epilogue on SEP's website is the icing on the cake! The book, and series, is well worth reading. "
— Teresa, 12/22/2013" This book took me by storm not only did i fall head over heals in love with Bobby tom i also loved the ending .it was diferent than must of her endings. "
— Shannon, 11/14/2013" good. i knew it was going to happen and it was almost the same idea as natural born charmer. football player that doesn't settle down, girl who doesn't usually get the guy, pretending that they are engaged. "
— Hpitcher, 7/8/2013" I would have given this book 5 stars, but the main characters name is Bobby Tom. "
— Kristina, 6/9/2013" lamest book i have read in a very, very long time. predictable and every inch a harlequin romance book. f bomb a couple of times and loads of gratuitous sex. don't bother unless you are in a sex drought. "
— Michelle, 4/4/2013" AMAZING!!!! just like all her books.. "
— Irina, 5/10/2012" Excellent romance. Phillips does such a great job putting ordinary in with the extraordinary. Believable characters falling in love and she even managed a couple of believable villains that weren't over the top. "
— Genevieve, 4/7/2012" I couldn't really get into this book. He was pretty much a conceited jerk. "
— Jacqueline, 11/4/2011" I am a big fan of SEP's Chicago Stars series. "

— Juanita, 5/21/2011" I liked Bobby Tom Denton in It Had To Be You so I really got ecstatic to know that he'll get his own happy ending. <whisper> I was secretly rooting for him and Phoebe </whisper> Nevertheless, though that relationship didn't happen, Heaven, Texas was still definitely awesome for me :) "

— Dana, 4/29/2011" Perfect. One of my all time favorites "

— Maryori, 4/11/2011" Romantic comedy meets Harlequin Romance in this predictable but funny book with pretty racy love scenes. A good fluff read. "
— Katherine, 4/4/2011" Took me forever to get through this book. There was something about Bobby Tom and Gracie that grated on my nerves. This is the first SEP book that I have not sped through but I hope it was the last. "
— Amelie, 3/29/2011" Another amazing character study by SEP. I love the way she takes characters who are poles apart, dumps them in an uncomfortable situation and adds a dash of desperation. She always serves up a tasty dish. "
— J.D., 3/29/2011" Really very funny--I like the way the stories are crafted, unpredictable. "
— Mindy, 3/28/2011" The book was great fun to read. The author's humor really shines in this book. <br/> "
— Sally, 3/28/2011" Bobby Tom was much more interesting in the previous book of the series. Gracie Snow and Way Sawyer grew on me enough to not put the book down, but the best part of the book was the very end "
