"I love Jane Green, this was a perfect "light" read. I think she came back with this book- I really loved her early writings, then I felt she was getting a bit boring- I think because I like the British jargon in her earlier books, but I truly enjoyed this one!"
— Gabriella (5 out of 5 stars)
" i think I am done with Jane Green. Her earlier books were great and I devoured them but her latest books have felt like a chore. I started skimming this book halfway through. The story was just dumb and so were the characters. I can't believe anyone would be as naive as the main character in this book. Green fills pages and pages with repetitive thoughts and it gets boring really fast. Skip this one. "
— Dena, 2/14/2014" Cute, but not as good as some of her others. "
— Jamie, 2/13/2014" Much better than The Beach House. I liked the twist at the end. I still miss Green's old writing style: Jemima J and Mr. Maybe are the reason I fell in live with her novels. "
— Marja, 2/11/2014" Wow ... after reading the reviews on this book, I hope that I am not steering myself wrong with this book! "
— Rachel, 2/4/2014" A light, easy read, which was pretty predictable but enjoyable all the same. "
— SJH, 1/24/2014" this is one of jane greens a little more dramatic books much like the beach house. i love how she writes these types once in awhile as well as i love her other more chick lit books "
— Kathy, 1/22/2014" A romantic tale that was easy to read and predict the ending. "
— Susan, 12/23/2013" More momlit than chicklit but still a good read! "
— Anki, 12/12/2013" Story was so hokey & her writing just wasn't that impressive. "
— Holly, 11/21/2013" A great easy read. A little suspense (not life and death though) and some romance. I'm going to be looking for more of her books this summer. "
— Mairin, 10/13/2013" I have enjoyed Jane Green's other books but this one was too slow, obvious and plodding. I just wanted to get it finished. "
— Kristina, 10/11/2013" This is not my favorite book of hers but it is very enjoyable. Good beach read. "
— Gaurett, 9/19/2013" not my favorite Jane Green, but a nice easy chick lit book. Pretty predictable, but that's half the beauty of chick lit! "
— Meghan, 9/10/2013" This book is the same book as Dune Road. "
— Kia, 7/10/2013" Cute, sweet and a happy ending. A light, fluffy read! "
— Crystal, 6/30/2013" Really quite boring compared to her other books and wayyyy too easy of a read. Very predictable. "
— Ellie, 6/14/2013" Horrible, no idea how Jane Green is a best seller. Repetitive and didactic. Might try one more by her though just in case she turns it around, because I heard she is a lot better than she showed in this one. "
— Carolyn, 2/19/2013" Once again (I know I say this all the time), I wish there were half stars. I did like this book, but I think it's more 2.5 than a 3. At any rate, it was a decent book. Not my favorite Jane Green...I like several of her other books much more. But it was still good. "
— Tara, 2/4/2013" Soap Opera - way too much drama stuffed into one small book. And sooo not believable. "
— Nicole, 3/1/2012" I enjoyed reading this book. It was one of them where I could read for hours without putting it down. However, when I did put it down, it was easily forgotten. An easy-to-follow plot with a satisfactory ending. A bit blah. "
— Jennifer, 2/24/2012" Good story. Interesting twists. "
— Jennifer, 12/9/2011" I love the way Jane Green does vacuous chick lit. This was another enjoyable read/listen. Would have given it three stars, but the ending wrapped up just a bit too neatly for my taste. If you like chick lit an dhappy endings, this is a good one... "
— Kerry, 7/30/2011" Richard Russo it ain't. Joyce Carol Oates? Not a chance. Not even a good run at Jodi Piccoult. I read the whole book, so that says something. I guess I had enough interest in the story to keep going. But I saw what was coming and the writing was pedestrian at best. Not an author I'll go back to. "
— Anita, 6/24/2011" I am a big Jane Green fan, but I thought this book lacked something. I didn't feel as connected to the characters as I usually do, didn't care as much about their relationships. I also felt like it was very choppy and jumped around a lot -- it seemed different from her usual style of writing. "
— JillRock, 4/11/2011" Not a bad "read." I do like Jane Green although this was a bit bland from time to time. It was not the page turner that I was expecting it to be but I got my money's worth and it was entertaining even if it was terribly predictable. Not bad for a long drive. "
— Slim, 4/10/2011" I need a beachy book. I have enjoyed most of Ms. Green's novels, I hope this is good. Oopsss, this was not set on a beach, but it was still a decent book. I'm glad the main character re-connected with her mom and husband. "
— Jen, 4/9/2011" Loved it. Would have never read it based on the cover. I know I know never judge a book by its cover.

I wish they would made a sequel. "
— Sarah, 4/1/2011" Better than just ok, but not by much. Predictable. Actually listened to it on audio. Several times when the characters were reviewing their thoughts, I wondered if I had accidentally skipped back a disk because it was so repetitive. Easy, mindless chick-lit. Would have been a good beach-read. "
— Mikie, 3/18/2011" Love Jane Green so much I bought this book twice, once by accident and didn't realize until I started reading it that I already knew the story line! "
— Gina, 3/5/2011" tripe. Kindle broke, waiting for replacement, so picked this up at bargain table at B&N. I like a good "chick lit" book now and then, but this wasn't a good one. "
