Kate’s life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything. Suddenly, Kate and her sister, Georgia, were orphans. They put their lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with their grandparents, and Kate knew her shattered heart—her shattered life—would never feel normal again. Then she met Vincent.

Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept Kate off her feet. Just like that, she was in danger of losing her heart all over again. But she was ready to let it happen. Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human; he has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies … immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.

While Kate is fighting to piece together the remnants of her life, can she risk putting her heart—as well as her life and her family’s—in jeopardy for a chance at love?

" Odd, but enjoyable. The premise is if you die in the place of someone else, you gain immortality. The only bad part is you have to keep dying over and over again in the place of someone different. Kind of a bummer if you ask me. "
