"It was interesting to go back to Book 2 in the "Death on Demand" series after all of the books I have read in the series. I really liked this book and loved the town where it was set. It was a very good story, and the murder mystery that was acted out was a fun added touch."

" I would listen to everything by this author in a heartbeat. I wish there were more titles to choose from. I spend a lot of time listening to audiobooks and I would recommend using the audiobook store to any of my friends! "
— Jill, 6/8/2017" I didn't realize these books were written in the 1980's...not that that should matter, but I'm not digging these mysteries. Proud to say I didn't give up on it, but I hate reading a book I really didn't like either. Annie is too implusive to be going around trying to clear her name, and really....why is she accused off the bat the last two books? Is every book in this series going to find Annie Lawrence the scapegoat? Will she be accused every time someone is murdered just because she happens to be around? The first book was ok, but this one was a little too unrealistic for me. I will give this series one more try and read the 3rd book... "
— Jamie, 2/20/2014" These are quick, enjoyable reads. "
— Helen, 2/12/2014" This was a good mystery featuring bookstore owner Annie Laurence and her fiance Max Darling. There were lots of suspects and clues which Annie and Max had to sift through to find the killer. I liked the references to other mystery authors and stories sprinkled throughout the book. "
— krin, 2/9/2014" A bit long and convoluted. I enjoyed Annie and Max. "
— Cathy, 2/2/2014" Cozy murder mysteries set out of a bookstore "Death On Demand." "
— Vicky, 1/29/2014" It seems like 75% of this is a bibliography of mystery novels, which, in moderation, may be a fun and reasonable filler for a series centered around a mystery bookstore owner but the author goes overboard. Are all the entries in this series so heavy on lists of authors and titles? The victim is obvious from page one although the murder does not occur til halfway through the story. The muderer isn't much of a surprise either. Didn't make me want to read any more of this series. "
— Miss, 1/19/2014" I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first in the series. "
— Chaun, 1/18/2014" Another great book. Annie and Max's ongoing courtship spiced by murder made for a read that I couldn't put down! "
— Barbara, 1/6/2014" Great book, really! I like the change of scenery and will read book 3 if I can find it at the library. "
— Janice, 12/26/2013" Good solid mystery, but not a good as the first book in the series "
— Roxann, 12/9/2013" Figured it out too soon, but a fun read. "
— Clarissa, 11/25/2013" I like her Henry O series but not the Death on Demand series "
— Debbe, 11/6/2013" I am really enjoying these. Good plots, characters I care about. A comforting read that doesn't insult the intelligence. "
— Elizabeth, 9/2/2013" A great sequel to the first book "
— Rosalee, 8/20/2013" This was great fun-a mystery within a mystery. Loved the main character and the central conceit of the series premise. I can't believe I've never read anything by this author before! "
— Jason, 7/18/2013" This series is not as good as I remembered, but it matched the level of brain-cell activity I had this week. Fun characters but kind of a flat story. "
— Jessica, 2/18/2013" I really enjoyed the intrigue and family dysfunction portrayed in this cozy mystery, even if at times the premise was a little far-fetched. All in all, I enjoyed the book and will look to read more by this author. "
— Jodi, 1/29/2013" A very nail biting mystery into the 'whodunit' with Annie Laurance as the accused. Just when you think you've got it figured out, another turn of the page and another wrench into the mystery. A good read. "
— Carol, 12/31/2012" Easy read. Mystery, relationships, and comedy in one book. Read series in order to understand characters and relationships better. "
— Sharon, 11/8/2012" Wonderful mystery. Carolyn Hart has a true gift for keeping the reader guessing, and an extensive vocabulary to keep the descriptions of characters and scenes fresh. Hope the rest are like this. "
— Becky, 7/26/2012" I love this series. This is my "book to read on the bus" at the moment. Something fun I don't have to think too hard about. So far, so good. More when I've finished. "
— Rebekah, 7/9/2012" I thought this was okay. 2nd book in this new series. I'll keep reading. "
