    Publishers Weekly

  • “This novel features a solidly constructed plot, well-designed characters, and, peeking out from the darkness, a message of hope and spiritual redemption. As a solo writer, Dekker has a devoted following, especially among readers of inspirational fiction, and his fans will eagerly embrace this book, which showcases his ability to balance story with character and to keep the reader on the edge of his or her seat.”

The catch is that she must recover a large amount of money that she is told her father has hidden. When her plan goes awry, Sanso and his team of men attack the camp, killing everybody they see. Then they set everything on fire. During the blaze, Janeal has to see her father die right in front of her, and her best friend is trapped. " The book started off good and I liked the way things were going. But as with his other books, Ted Dekker always puts a weird religious spin into the mix and just plain ruins the entire story. I couldn't even finish this one. "
