" This was a scary book that kept me reading to know the end. But, it was so confusing and had a terrible end. "

" Not my favorite of Dekker or Peretti's books. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Coco | 2/6/2014

" Oh my fucking god. I gave this 3 stars cause it deserved 0 on a literary level and 5 on a so-terrible-it's-funny level. Christian Fiction... 'nuff said. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Cloe | 2/1/2014

" This is apart of my "favorite" book collections next to bed. I've read this book a countless number of times. Equally amazing every time! A great portrayal of Heaven vs. Hell. A classic "good vs. evil" sort of book. The basement gave me nightmares. LOVED this book. Dekker did it right. "

" this is the first book by Peretti I thought lacked originality. "

" This was a very good book. I like the mystery/thriller kind of books, and this is a good one. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Matthew | 1/16/2014

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Cara | 1/15/2014

" Really goes into the forces of good and evil and delves into what goes on in the spiritual realm. A fast-paced, supernatural thriller that should not go unread! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Charie | 12/30/2013

" I was hoping for something a little scary, something close to Joe Hill, however I didn't get that. It was just ok. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Nathan | 12/30/2013

" Good scary clean Christian fiction. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Alison | 11/23/2013

" You have to really dig deep rather than take the story line so literally. My husband and I read it seperatly and discussed how we interpreted it when we were finished. Very enlightening! Loved it! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Alex | 11/17/2013

" Worst horor novel I've ever read; made all the more intolerable by the explanation for why things happened as they did and the pointless ending. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Breanna | 11/16/2013

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Jennifer | 10/27/2013

" Super freaky and barely made it through. I want to see the movie that is now in theaters, but I'm a little nervous to! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Ricardo | 6/19/2013

" Very disappointing. There is a very thin line between a great combination and a mixture of oil and water when it comes to using the supernatural and religious elements in a book and this one was definitely oil and water "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Amy | 6/13/2013

" Caught my attention but in my opinion, it was poorly written. "

" This is the best Frank Peretti book I have ever read. It is really scary, confusing, and disturbing all at the same time. It is my favorite horror/thriller. Just don't read it at night. AHHHHH!!!! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Dawn | 7/20/2012

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Emma | 4/18/2012

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Vie | 2/7/2012

" this book was really creepy, and very suspenseful! as a teen though, i would have preffered if the characters were closer to my age, however, i still enjoyed the book very much! although there were some parts that were a little boring and repetative, it was still good! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Laura | 9/18/2011

" This was not the greatest of Ted's books. Although it had a great suspense, it was slow moving at parts. If you are already a Ted fan, then sure... read it. But if you've never read Ted Dekker then read Thr3e or the Circle Series (Black, Red, and White) first before reading this. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Julia | 5/21/2011

" One of the worst books I've ever read.

Simple as that. The premise was kind of interesting- usually what draws me to this kind of book. But the writing is awful, childish, and the climax is uninspired, cliche, and generally a big let down. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kayley | 5/14/2011

" I read this book for a book report and everyday I would purposefully read more than I was supposed to, claiming I was almost done. I didn't even notice when I came to the last page, I was so gripped. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Ashie | 5/11/2011

" Intense and thrilling, it had a wonderful ending> I seriously couldn't put the book down. I'm not much for the christian outlook but if you want a freakish and devilish thriller, this is a perfect book for that :3 "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Teri | 4/26/2011

" Parts of this book scared the heck out of me. This is a Christian horror story (Yes, there is such a thing). Good vs. Evil is literally God vs. Satan. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Shelby | 4/2/2011

" Scary. Weird. Unpredictable. Intense. All things you could want in a horror novel, accomplished. This book was ultimately a mind trip for the horror inclined. While it would most definitely not serve as just anyone's cup of tea, it is definitely a book I would recommend. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kiersten | 3/29/2011
