" OK, this one was a little crazy for me. I still loved it, but falling down an abandoned mine shaft? really? Well in any event, it kept me laughing and wanting to read more, even if I was usually laughing at Stinky's name. Oh well, lets just wait for the next.... "

" This was a struggle to get through. The author is clearly mimicking Janet Evanovich, but without the wit. The plot was much too confusing, with too many characters made to look overly quirky. Too bad, because some of the themes--miners' rights, for example--could have been explored effectively. "
