"I thought this was a solid, well-done trilogy. The ending - despite many surprises along the way - seemed as if it was the only one there could have been. And it was inevitable in a way which was 'happy' for Cassel and yet really not any kind of happiness I could feel satisfied with."

" I found this one to be the weakest of the Curse Workers trilogy. While reading it, I couldn't wait for it to be over so that I could move on to another book. This time, I couldn't care less about Cassel and his family. I think the story got lost in all of the other things going on and was on the verge of being confusing. However, I still recommend this series to teen and adults who crave suspence and a unique story. "
