"As I read this series I know I would have enjoyed this a lot more when I identified with all the teenage angst instead of with the mothers. I also would like to just enjoy the book instead of constantly asking myself when I will give these books to my daughter. Considering the relationship between Kostos and Lena and the few sex scenes she will probably discover the series herself first. The characters are widely diverse so pretty much any kid could see themselve in one of them. At its best it is a little brain candy for the teenage set, with a reasonable amount of teenage drama."

" Lena's heart is broken, Bee's changed but finds letters from her grandmother ranging from 6 years ago! Tibby discovers more about herself and friends and carmen's dealing with her mother. So much going on. It's a good book but it's those kinds of books that just, you want to change the character back to the way they were. We'll have to see for the third book, Girls In Pants!! "

" I started the Pants series because my 11 year old daughter asked if she could read it. She whizzed through the first three books on her summer break and I trailed behind. I appreciate many aspect of Brashares writing. She manages to include painful and real topics but she treats them with care and respect. It is a delightful series about true friendship. "
