Yoga Nidra for the Complete Beginner is a 30 minute guided session, devised specifically for those that have never practiced Yoga Nidra before. Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice that will deeply relax both body and mind. Yoga Nidra promotes and increases positive behaviours by helping to eliminate negative thoughts or habits formed through repetitive thoughts and actions. In yoga repetitive thoughts are known as Samskaras. Yoga Nidra works by helping to override and dissipate negative Samskaras by focussing on and increasing positive ones. Yoga Nidra is often referred to as yogic sleep or wakeful sleep. In this state of deep relaxation it is possible for the conscious mind and the subconscious mind to pass information between the two. This encourages the positive thoughts that are planted during the Yoga Nidra session to override and help eliminate any negative thoughts, feelings or habits lying deep in the psyche. This session has been devised and narrated by leading yoga teacher Sue Fuller. Sue has been teaching yoga since 1995, she is the founder and creator of Yoga 2 Hear and The Yoga 2 Hear 300 hour Diploma in Teaching Yoga.
