Cardio Yoga Vol.1 is a 70 minute class suitable for those with previous yoga experience. The class will allow you to enjoy all the benefits of a yoga practice and a cardio workout in one and will strengthen the heart and lungs, tone all the major muscle groups, increase energy levels, relax the body and clear and focus the mind. Cardio Yoga Vol.1 begins with a warm up vinyasa to gently prepare body and mind. The class then continues with 3 further vinyasas that build in pace and intensity. The vinyasas contain postures such as Downward Facing Dog with variations, Upward Facing Dog, Plank with variations, Half Moon, Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Sun Warrior and Plough. After the final vinyasa the class features a number of strong held postures and a series of deep stretch postures before it ends with a guided relaxation. The class is devised and instructed by Sue Fuller, and was recorded in a professional sound studio. Sue is the resident yoga expert for Natural Health Magazine and is a leading yoga teacher, writer and training course author who has studied and taught yoga around the world since 1995. Sue Fuller is a leading teacher of both Hatha and Sivananda yoga. She initially trained with the Dhanwanthari Ashram at the Neyyar Dam in India, and has also studied yoga in Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. She has lead workshops and held training courses in many countries. In addition to her teaching, Fuller is a columnist for Natural Health and the Yoga magazine and a Yoga Elder with the Independent Yoga Network. She is a course author for the British School of Yoga.
