" By far the best audiobible. I have tested many! The talents reading this up are doing a great job. One of the few dramatized bibles thats enjoyable to listen to instead of just having annoying backgrounds sounds. The bible should have had chapters with info about where you are though.. (the new testament starts at track 930). "

" I don't get a radio signal at work and I often use audio books. This one has been my favorite. Pouring the word over me has opened my eyes to the history. I have a friend that can not read, but says if he could he would start from the beginning. I done just that. I have only begun this book. I had New Testament on CD and went through it three times but missed so much because of scratching and skipping. I can bookmark my page and pick up where I left off. In a week I have went through Genesis to Judges and I am so excited to go through the rest and start over. As Jesus spoke the word, so does this book. Speaking it into my heart and soul. No better book under the sun than Gods word. The price was also quite surprising as it is quite affordable. Thanks audiobookSTORE! "

" The story, well, what can I say? The story is compelling, no matter how it is delivered. This performance is wonderful. Emotion and setting shine though without distracting from the narration. I enjoy using this for my daily reading. My attention can flag early in the morning. This helps keep me focused. "

" I love this version, the dramatization makes it more enjoyable to listen to. The only problem I have with the Audio Bookstore download is that there is no guide to where the individual books are in the recording. You have to search for a particular book by listening to each recording till you find what you want. "

About the Narrators

Gary Sinise, born in Blue Island, Illinois, helped launch the Steppenwolf Theater Company at age eighteen. He started his Hollywood career as a director, but his 1994 appearance in Forrest Gump as Lieutenant Dan launched him to fame and earned him an Academy Award nomination. He worked with Tom Hanks again in Apollo 13 and has since appeared in more than thirty other films and television shows.

Joan Allen has worked in theater, television, and film during her early career and achieved recognition for her Broadway debut in Burn This, winning a Tony Award. She has received three Academy Award nominations, including two for Best Supporting Actress for Nixon and The Crucible and one for Best Actress for The Contender. Her other films include The Ice Storm, Face/Off, Pleasantville, The Notebook, and The Bourne Ultimatum.

Marcia Gay Harden is an Academy Award–winning film and theater actress. Her first role in a mainstream film was as a femme fatale in the Coen brothers’ Miller’s Crossing. She went on to play roles in such films as Pollock, Mystic River, Mona Lisa Smile, and Meet Joe Black, among many others.

Malcolm McDowell has been a part of the acting world for more than four decades and has more than one hundred films under his belt. Best known for playing villains, he has become one of America’s greatest actors, though he hails from England.

Max Von Sydow is a Swedish actor best known for The Seventh Seal, one of the eleven films he made with Ingmar Bergman, as well as the Greatest Story Ever Told, and The Quiller Memorandum.

Stacy Keach is perhaps best known for his portrayal of hard-boiled detective Mike Hammer. He played Ken Titus on the sitcom Titus, Warden Henry Pope in the hit series Prison Break, and has been seen in numerous film and stage productions. He won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Ernest Hemingway and starred as Richard Nixon in the US National Tour of Frost/Nixon. His performance in the title role of King Lear has received international acclaim.

Louis Gossett, Jr., is one of the most respected African American actors in film, television, stage, and voice-over history with a distinct voice that carries quiet authority. A triple-threat talent with an Emmy for Roots, an Oscar for Officer and a Gentleman, and a Golden Globe for The Josephine Baker Story, Gossett is in the upper echelons of elite actors. As an impassioned activist, he firmly believes in giving back to the community and has donated his performance royalties from the Twelve Years a Slave audiobook to his nonprofit organization, the Erascism Foundation, which focuses on planting the seeds of social tolerance with children and eliminating the stigma of racism.

Richard Dreyfuss is an Academy Award–winning actor who has appeared in such blockbuster films as Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jaws. In 1977 he became the youngest man to win the Oscar for Best Actor, which he won for his performance in The Goodbye Girl. He also appeared in Stand by Me, What about Bob?, The American President, and Mr. Holland’s Opus, among many other films.
