Set in the late 1700s, Winter Fire is a tale of reunion and reignited passions. "Genova and Ash. (I wonder if she ends up calling him "Ash" for the rest of his life, or she uses his name "Charles"?) Interesting to see Ash overcome his emotional brainwashing from his Grandy with respect to the Mallorens. I almost liked that part better than his relationship with Genova!"

" Eh. Like the last Malloren I read, the obstacles to the couple getting together were just suddenly gone with no satisfying explanation. The characters from earlier books in the series were more interesting to me than the current couple, too. "
