Publisher Description

Called on a dangerous assignment, leopard shifter Conner Vega returns to the Panama rainforest of his homeland, looking every bit the civilized male. But as a member of the most lethal of the shifter tribes, he doesn't have a civilized bone in his body. He carries the scent of a wild animal in its prime, he bears the soul-crushing sins of past kills - and he's branded by the scars of shame inflicted by the woman he betrayed.

Isabeau Chandler's a Borneo shifter who's never forgiven Conner - or forgotten him. The mating urge is still with her, and when she crosses Connor's path, passions run like wild fire. But as Connor's mission draws Isabeau closer, another betrayal lies waiting in the shadows - and it's the most perilous and intimate one of all.

"Quite different to the restbof Feehan's leopard people books, as in there isn't as much sex. That being said, their still is a lot of sex and violence. I quite enjoyed this one, because it's more interesting and frankly, I was beginning to get quite exasperated. All her books were starting to become the same to me. Conner, though, was one of my favourite Feehan heroes, and now I can't wait until the next book she writes. Hopefully someone we have been introduced to, like Elijah. I'm quite partial to him, ever since...well...ever!"

" Being civilized is overrated. What happens when an alpha male confronts a strong woman holding a grudge? Hawt make up sex. Ms. Feehan pens another lovely story. "

" This book was way too long. Feehan starts the book with planning a rescue for kidnapped kids and then spends almost all of book doing everything but saving the kids. She even has a wedding! It just makes the book drag. I was very disappointed and I had to keep skipping ahead. "

" this is SO boring. I get that the romance novels are all about the guys but there is nothing interesting about isabeau. she is just a spoiled princess! i would have liked her to be a bit more rough and tumble for a leopard "

" Excellent! Conner and Isabeau are unique, sexy and exciting. Following the story, you realize the differences between growing up knowing you are part leopard and having it thrust on you as an adult. Very exciting. "

" This was one of Feehan's more tame titles. I enjoyed the story of Connor and Isabeau in the beginning but mid way through it, neither the romance or the adventure held my interest so I will give it 3 stars for the beginning to the middle. The rest fell flat. "

" Christine Feehan is a good author to revisit after awhile. She is usually monotonous with her word choice so it gets old, but I enjoyed this one pretty well. The characters meshed well and the whole storyline was interesting. I'd recommend this one for a light read. "

" I actually really liked this one. I know people complain that Christine Feehan is formulaic all her books are the same etc. etc. I don't think that's true, but I don't read enough of her books to really care even if it is true. This one will almost definitely be a re-read for me. "
