What would happen if you were visited by your younger self, and got a chance for a do-over? Alice Love is twenty-nine years old, madly in love with her husband, and pregnant with their first child. So imagine her surprise when, after a fall, she comes to on the floor of a gym (a gym! she HATES the gym!) and discovers that she's actually thirty-nine, has three children, and is in the midst of an acrimonious divorce. "What Alice Forgot is another great book by Liane Moriarty. The reader, Tamara Lovatt-Smith also does a great job as narrator. Alice awakes from what she thinks is a dream, assuming she is a a 29-year old woman expecting her first child. Instead, she is actually, 39 and the mother of three children estranged from her husband. She's fallen off of an exercise bike at the gym, erasing the last ten years of her life. Moriarty does a great job of shining light on infertility, and shuffling between Alice's past and present. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it for anyone enjoying engaging fictional novels. "

" This book is chock full of both hilarious and poignant moments. The way Moriarty weaves the themes of loss and redemption together with humor and tenderness is truly the mark of a gifted writer. Not only was I able to enter fully into the emotional life of the three main characters, I was also able to relate fully to each one. The narrator, Tamara Lovatt-Smith, was absolutely superb, and I actually kept hearing echoes of her voice in my head for days after finishing the book. Bravo! "
