Jennifer Worick had a bad day. And then a bad week. She channeled her aggravation into creating the blog Things I Want to Punch in the Face, which became a sensation. Although her bad week passed, she has continued to take note of the little irritations that torment us all daily, from old guys with ponytails to twenty-minute coffee prep, bizspeak to vanity plates, celebrity baby names to emoticons. Now, just in time for the holiday season, the book showcases more than one hundred of Worick's most punch-worthy aggravations, rated on a scale of one to five fists. She rants, she vents, and she amuses with little factoids about the things that annoy the crap out of us. In short, she has created a hilarious gift book that has something for everyone to hate, from the last swig of beer, to mashups, to Ed Hardy clothing, to packing tape.

"I'm already a fan of the blog and am loving the number of fists rating system for how many punches in the face any one thing deserves. Ms. Worick's irreverent sense of humor makes me belly laugh. As an added bonus you get to learn fun facts while you're chuckling! Do yourself a favor and read it!"

“Anger is like an essential vitamin and Jen has given me even more reasons to be angry. I couldn’t be happier or healthier.”
— Lewis Black“Listeners will certainly chuckle in recognition at some of Worick’s cannily described annoyances of modern-day life.”
— AudioFile" A fun read, although I was surprised to find that the things she wants to punch in the face don't really bother ME much at all. "
— Lynda, 12/4/2013" Awful. Absolutely awful. Aggressively unfunny and so poorly written. "
— Sarra, 10/12/2013" While reading Jennifer Worick's "Things I Want to Punch in the Face", I made the mistake of taking a drink of coffee. While in mid-slurp, I snorted and ended up with a most of my morning joe on my shirt. Funny, clever, cranky. Except now I want to punch my book in the face... "
— Lisa, 8/13/2013" I wanted to love this, and there are bits that are funny, but as a whole I was disappointed. Her blog is funnier, maybe because it seems more current. This book seems like it's on the brink of being a collection of out dated one-liners. Close but no cigar. "
— Jessica, 7/14/2013" Like Jennifer Worick, I also have a list of things I want to punch in the face. We even share a few of them. This super short book was a quick fun read (listen). I found myself laughing out loud & nodding along throughout. "
— Clacie, 6/14/2013" I like my anger to be served in a certain way. Bitter, cynical, sarcastic anger. Not mean, whiny, complaining anger. That's all this was. Blegk. "
— Kerry, 6/11/2013" Hee hee... Things I want to punch in the face includes namaste and jazz music... An alphabetized list of pet peeves with a face punching ranking system - entertaining! "
— Amanda, 6/8/2013" There were funny bits, but sometimes I wanted to punch this book in the face. Favorite: eau de ho. "
— Marie, 5/8/2013" Eh, it was ok. Not very funny, more angry than funny. "
— Nicole, 12/25/2012" Hmmm some of it was relevant, others not as much but hahaha pretty on the point! "
