Publisher Description

Gold Medallion and Christy Award nominee Steven James writes pulse-pounding psychological thrillers that hold listeners spellbound.

In The Knight, FBI agent Patrick Bowers matches wits with a psychopathic genius who relishes leading his pursuers on a bloody trail of torture and dismemberment. Although Bowers can predict how the next victims will die, he's not yet sure of the who and the when. But if he can't stop these murders soon, he fears he or a loved one may be next.

"With the first two books of the series, the "twist" being the antagonist being the person you'd least expect seemed plausible. In this book, it is so outrageous that despite the fact I enjoyed the first 90%, the ending let me down. Also, James has an on going theme of having the baddie survive or assumed to have survived. As much as I enjoy the main character, Patrick Bowers, I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with him as every serial killer seems obsessed with him. I will read the next book in the series despite this and hopefully it will surprise me for the better."

" Solid book. Only thing I did not like about it was the fact they they pretty much got ride of Lien-hua and replaced her with Cheyenne without a real back story to it. That said I have the other books and have not gotten to read them yet so maybe it all comes together. Read this series! "

" I'm hooked! I love this character and this author. He's coming out with a fourth book this summer and I'll HAVE to read it. I love crime books, but not all authors do a great job of keeping you guessing, I did NOT see the end coming, I mislabeled the killer and would not have connected the dots. Great read! I loved all three books in this series which I read in a week. "

" Sure, it was intensely violent and quite frightening at times, but The Knight is the longest book I've read in one sitting in a long time. That fact overpowers any complaints about it I could have. If you've read and enjoyed the first two Bowers Files novels, run to your local library and request The Knight, NOW! "
