"i meant to get the "Hiding place" by Corrie Ten Boom from the library, but accidently put this book on hold. I read the back of the book and decided that I wanted to read it. I liked how there was mystery, action, romance with out sex, gore, and bad language."

— Publishers Weekly" I always enjoy Karen Harper's books. This one especially was filled with twists and turns. Romantic suspense. "
— Stephanie, 2/19/2014" I got this book completely by accident, meaning to read The Hiding Place by Carrie Ten Boom, BUT...this was a pretty good read. It had me pretty much hooked from the get go. A real life story about a tragedy that took place in this women's life. Great read. "
— Misty, 2/12/2014" This book was okay. The plot was easy to figure out throughout the story. The romance between Nick and Tara would have been great if the author had shown more of that side. Overall, I would probably not read another of her books. "
— Jenn, 2/8/2014" I liked the book, however, some of the dialog was a bit contrived. Nick and Tara did not jump into bed together right away but like alot of romantic suspense novels it departs from reality. But I suppose that's why we read them, to escape reality for a little while. "
— Katy, 1/27/2014" Never read her before, really enjoyed the book and will pick up some of her others. Some of it was predictable but I liked the characters and the location of Colorado really brought back some memories. I have hiked in the very location the book was set so that was really fun. We'll see how some of her others are. "
— Tasha, 1/6/2014" I like Karen Harper, but this book was more sad than suspenseful. Still, it is worth a read if it is available to you. "
— Mirinda, 12/31/2013" pretty fast paced....good book "
— Trish, 12/23/2013" I have recently discovered this author and have enjoyed reading her books. I have read a couple about the Amish in Ohio and a couple of other ones. They have been fun to read. "
— Nancy, 12/19/2013" I really liked this book. had alot of twists and turns. "
— Jackieroberts, 12/17/2013" predictable book with predictable ending. Not a bad read just not outstanding. Girl is in coma, husband leaves her for her friend, etc. "
— Cherie, 10/30/2013" Good, but somewhat predictable "
— Debbie, 10/9/2013" A good escape from Hurricane Sandy! Harper writes about beautiful people who have heroic passions and perform athletic feats to save their loved ones. Guiltily satisfying. "
— Janet, 9/21/2013" This was a fun book to read "
— Anita, 7/17/2013" Really interesting story line easy to read love her books again she does not disappoint. "
— Reta, 6/19/2013" Really good, keeps you reading. "
— Debbie, 4/26/2013" Written well, easy to follow, not surprised at the ending. Was very engaged through most of it. While there was quite the excitement and adventure at the end of the book I still felt it took too long to wrap it up. This was my first read by Karen Harper. I will read more. "
— Natalie, 8/12/2012" For some reason this book reminded me of a mix of the lucky one and black and blue. It was a good story, very suspenseful and alot of action. The romance portions are not overly descriptive which is something that i appreciate. It reads more like a suspense than a romance in my opinion. "
— Sarah, 7/5/2012" Horribly predictible. "
— Carra, 4/22/2012" Very interesting book, however you could see what was coming half way through the book, just not how and what did happen. "
— Shockwave, 4/18/2012" Interesting premise but very predictable. Easy read and enjoyable but not much depth. "
— Glenajo, 1/24/2012" It wasn't the book I thought it was. I listened anyway. Some unexpected twists but mostly predictable. "
— Marilyn, 10/31/2011" This was a GREAT book! I really liked it and look forward to reading more by this author! Any suggestions? "
— LoriAnn, 10/14/2011" By the middle of the book I already expected what was discovered in the end, but I still liked the ending. "
— Jill, 8/10/2011" Was a typical thriller with some romance. Quick read. "
— Susan, 7/13/2011" I like this writer but I figured out the entire plot of this book within the first 40 pages so it ws a bit of a let down. "
— Mary, 4/3/2011" Ugh. This was awful. I stopped reading about 100 pages in. Bad writing, obvious plot and annoying flat characters. No thanks. "
