"I loved this book! The counting back days as pages continued kept me interested till the end about what was going to happen on day zero. Also, all the lives, crosspathing, meddling, getting screwed up was good to hear and in the end a bad guy died. What more could you want from a feel good book!"
— Natalie (4 out of 5 stars)
" Delightful novel, with surprising twists and depth. All the more lovely to have it read to me in audio with a colorful Irish brogue. "
— Krissy, 2/17/2014" This book took me by surprise. There are so many characters that you feel like this possibly couldn't have any decent content because of the sheer number of people involved. It reminded me of the movies Love Actually and Valentine's Day. Many people to learn about and try to love. This story however was quite Grand as Katie would say. I really got into their heads and was able to learn about these people. Also I thought I was able to guess what was going to happen and then a twist occurred. Threw me for a loop there but I loved it. Nothing worse then knowing what is going to happen before you get there. "
— Mckayla, 2/1/2014" A very fun read - and a creative story. "
— Emily, 1/24/2014" Really a can't-put-down. The book really makes you curious... In the beginning, that's why I kept reading, because I was curious as to whom was speaking, but after that it just draws you in completely. I really enjoyed this read. =) "
— Tatiana, 1/14/2014" I enjoyed this one, especially figuring out who the narrator was and reading all the dialogue in my head in an Irish accent. "
— Elizabeth, 12/13/2013" I was lost throughout much of this book as far as who the observer/narrator was, but the characterizations were interesting enough for me to plow through. "
— Joanne, 12/11/2013" Marian Keyes has done it again with an exploration of multiple relationships in an apartment house in Dublin. I can't really say anymore without giving stuff away. "
— Sarah, 11/29/2013" Different story. It was a little long but I made it thru & am glad I did as it ended up being worthwhile. "
— Erika, 9/27/2013" She used to be my favorite author but her last two books weren't good. I had to stop this charming man in the middle and this I barely got through "
— Kristy, 8/6/2013" Definitely not my fave Marian Keyes. "
— Gretchen, 7/14/2013" parts were classic marian keyes, but the entire premise felt really silly. "
— Katyakatyak, 6/14/2013" This book was really good and i didnt want to put it down, but the ending kinda let it down as it went a bit crazy! "
— Tracey, 5/30/2013" An unexpected change of topic and genre for my beloved Marian Keyes-she went down the paranormal/mythical road, and though it was an interesting, engaging read, I prefer her usual topics of love, loss and slightly dysfunctional yet lovable families. "
— Reeka, 4/13/2013" What a fun, fun book! The narrator has the most wicked and sarcastic humor! I just loved it. Set in Dublin around the lives of various people living in different flats in the same building. "
— Pbwritr, 3/10/2013" I always love Marian's books but really fell in love with the characters in this one "
— Belinda, 2/3/2013" Enjoyable enough, but takes a long time to get moving. The author is using Maeve Binchy's formula, but not nearly as well. "
— Margie, 1/20/2013" Ms Keys writes with great passion and with an interesting plot. Her characters are true to life and their personal lives full of love and pain makes for an intense read. So much so that this novel should be made into two or fewer characters should be dealt with. "
— Veronica, 9/5/2012" As always, I truly enjoyed this. Had a little trouble keeping track of all the characters who live in this apartment building but I attribute that to my brain issues and not the writer. Keyes always blends a serious topic with humor to great effect. "
— Mimi, 5/15/2012" I have lost interest... kinda seems like the characters live in Melrose Place. "
— Anita, 2/8/2012" Not her best :( "
— Eimsley, 12/17/2011" Entertaining...but not my favorite Marian Keyes book. "
— Christine, 11/22/2011" I enjoyed this the most since sushi for beginners. I was on a train and nearly missedy stop! "
— Ellen, 11/20/2011" I love Marian Keyes but this book was just awful! Not at all what i expected! "
— Stacey, 5/31/2011" It was a little hard to get into, and there a lot of characters to keep straight, but the last half of the book was pretty exciting. "
— Jill, 5/19/2011" Not my favorite Marian Keyes book, but it had a neat ending that made me cry (big surprise). "
— Katie, 5/19/2011" very interesting premise...an unborn soul choosing her parents...easy read "
— Donna, 5/15/2011" Usually I love Marian Keyes books; this one was good, but not great. It didn't have that emotional element that I've enjoyed from her in the past.<br/>I liked MOST of the characters and it had her typical humour, but just not 5, or 4 for that matter, stars. "
— Heather, 5/14/2011" This book was really good and i didnt want to put it down, but the ending kinda let it down as it went a bit crazy! "
— Tracey, 5/11/2011" brilliant book, classic keyes, well worth reading! "
— Jacqueline, 5/11/2011" A typical Marian Keyes... Nice but not fantastic. "
— Christin, 5/8/2011" And everybody lived happily ever after. "
— Judi, 5/6/2011" I read a recorded version and enjoyed it much: a whimsical premise wrapped around some pretty harsh life experiences. Caitriona Keyes is the narrator and, I think, the author's sister and does a great job, her Irish accent bringing it all to life. "
— Liz, 4/30/2011" I'm a huge fan of Marian Keyes but I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed with this book.I found it lacked the usual humour and wit that makes other Marian Keyes books so appealing,I found that it dragged on quite a bit and that the only thing that kept me reading was mere curiosity. "
— Kate, 4/27/2011" Marian Keyes is the cure for what ails ya. "
— Erin, 4/22/2011" Nearly lost me close to the end, but somehow managed to pull it all together. Wonderful read. "
— Nicole, 4/19/2011" Awesome. Wasnt sure when I started but was so happy with the book by the end. Keyes never disappoints me! "
— Chrissy, 4/14/2011" I didn't think I would enjoy this from the back of the book but I really enjoyed getting to know the characters... a quick read even though it was over 600 pages, couldn't put it down. :) "
— Jo, 4/10/2011" Too many random characters and situations. I couldn't finish it. I usually love Marian Keyes but everyone has an off day. "
— Kate, 4/10/2011" A fairy (or something) is taken to a building and has a certain number of days to do something, we're not quite sure what. The story follows the inhabitants (4 apts) of people for 2 months. It's an interesting study of life. Some good and some bad. Some interesting characters. "
