Prada-wearing magazine editor Lisa Edwards thinks her life is over when her 'fabulous' new job turns out to be deportation to Dublin, launching Colleen magazine. No more jet-setting to the Fall Collections? No more fabulous parties and photos in the society pages? The only saving grace is that her friends aren't there to witness her downward spiral. Might her new boss, the disheveled and moody Jack Devine, save her from a fate worse than hell?
Ashling Kennedy, Colleen's assistant editor, is an award–winning worrier, increasingly aware that something fundamental is missing from her life -- apart from a boyfriend and a waistline. And then there's her closest, oldest friend Clodagh 'Princess' Kelly, who is apparently living the domestic dream in a suburban castle. So why, lately, has Clodagh had a recurring urge to kiss a frog -- sleep with a frog, if truth be told?

"I absolutely loved this book and still think about the characters even though I read it over a month ago. At first I wasn't sure I would like it because I just hated Lisa so much! But I'm so happy I stuck with it....The characters were so well developed and interesting and there were twists that I never saw coming. I think Marian Keys is an amazing writer and I'm looking forward to reading more of her in the future. Not your average chick-lit!"

" WTH is wrong with the narrator. What a weird friggin accent or whatever is wrong with her. This is why you shouldn’t hire relatives… "
— Katharine , 7/7/2024" Chick lit at its best, but a good story nontheless. I love that her novels have Irish protagonists (protagonistas? After all, they are women...). This is my favorite of her books. Easy read, total reading candy--lots of fluff and sweetness, not much total nutrition. Take it to the beach. "
— Beth, 2/20/2014" I just finished reading this book for the third or fourth time. While there are some plot points I would like to change, it is still one of my go-to books whenever I am in need of some lighthearted office romance. "
— Debbie, 2/19/2014" funny light "chic lit" by author similar to Sophie Kinsella "
— MaryAnn, 2/15/2014" Love Marian Keyes. This is one of my favorites. "
— Meaghan, 2/15/2014" It was a fun, easy read. Nothing spectacular, but fun. "
— Brooke, 2/14/2014" It's fluff, but it was entertaining. "
— Dani, 2/13/2014" A littke slow to start but very enjoyable. I liked that it wasn't as fluffy as some chick lit out there. "
— Jillian, 2/10/2014" love aisling "
— Therese, 2/8/2014" Read this while visiting relatives in Canada when I should have been reading homework. This was my first Marian Keyes and I was pleased that I didn't figure out the entire plot right away. Not as good as Jennifer Weiner but better than a lot of the other stuff out there. "
— Jennifer, 1/30/2014" I couldn't finish this book. I had to bring it back to the library and I could have renewed it, but I didn't want to. It just didn't grab me... "
