Publisher Description

Governess Abigail Chantry will do anything to save her sister and two dearest friends from destitution, even if it means breaking into an empty mansion in the hope of finding something to sell. Instead of treasures, though, she finds the owner, Lady Beatrice Davenham, bedridden and neglected. Appalled, Abby rousts Lady Beatrice's predatory servants and—with Lady Beatrice's eager cooperation—the four young ladies become her "nieces," neatly eliminating the threat of disaster for all concerned!

It's the perfect situation, until Lady Beatrice's dashing and arrogant nephew, Max, Lord Davenham, returns from the Orient—and discovers an impostor running his household . . .

A romantic entanglement was never the plan for these stubborn, passionate opponents—but falling in love may be as inevitable as the falling of autumn leaves . . .

"Okay, so this is not your normal historial romance fiction and i have to say it was actually a really good read. The scharacters were ready to like and not over bearing or unlikeable like some books. A nice almost pg book that would be good for those just getting into romance books. Can't wait for the nice ones for the series"

" This is a cute book, with a strong main female character, Abby, she's smarted and willed and knows just what has to be done. The supporting characters are strong and quirky and you really root for the sisters so they get their happy life, which will hopefully happen in the next few books. I liked the plot and the problem that made her sister appear where she did, although i would have loved a little more on that front, but this is really a sweet love story. "

" Cute story. Not a lot of depth. Didn't really feel the love story part, but I liked the story of the girls and the widow. The romance part was just an extra. Fluff read for a lazy day. "

" This book had a great start with an original idea for a story, about midway it fizzled into typical. But still, it was an entertaining read and I loved all the characters. "

" 3.5 stars. The relationship(s) between the heroine, her sister and friends and the hero's aged aunt was the best part. "

" the only reason i gave ,it to stars was for its last 10 % this book lacked all kinds of suspense, hilarity and romance that would indicated that this was indeed annie gracie's book..after loving her merridew sisters series..i'm so very dissapointed with the leads and the story in whole =( "

" A slow read - nice story about nice characters, but the true villain was entirely predictable, and I wasn't really compelled to keep reading. There's one sex scene, and it didn't really seem all that necessary. "
