"Good old fashioned advice from a genius of a man who lived at a time when bullshit didn't get as much attention as the psycho babble we are obsessed with today. I am enjoying this book more for its nostalgic value than for the lessons on financial wisdom. This book reminds me of the kinds of books I was given as a boy from my father about becoming a man and taking responsibility. I think it is a great read for anyone who has lost their way because of TOO much advice; in short, if you want some direction and can only read one book--read this one."

" A good quick little read. The advice is pretty timeless. I loved how Barnum described economy. Don't be a cheapskate and give up stuff that would benefit you in order to spend money on crap you don't want. Choose a profession that suits you and choose a good location to practice it in. Don't smoke and don't get wasted at business meetings. That pretty much sums it up but it's written in the same grand early style that makes authors like Ben Franklin superstars even today. "

" Very good book that illustrate some simple and clear lessons that if applied will certainly help. Some lessons are really basic and some could be summarized in just a sentence or two. If you find it I suggest a summary. "
