"Book 8 in the Lucas Davenport Prey series. This is a departure from the usual "identify the killer" aspect of the series. In this installment, an escaped convict is seeking revenge on Davenport and his team. Solid storytelling. Decent action."

" A tale of revenge. The most interesting thing about this installment is Weather's development and her (and our) growing understanding of what Lucas is. But, it will take another book or two before I can get an idea as to whether Sandford is going to take advantage of the groundwork he lays in this one. Or will this turn out like a bad 80s sitcom - where everything is neatly resolved in one installment and there's no carry over for the characters (like when Alex gets addicted to speed in Family Ties, but after 22 minutes and a good long nap POOF no more addiction). " Don't know why, but I didn't like this one as much as the previous book, Mind Prey. I know I will finish the series, but I think the characters in this book reminded me of a previous prey book and I didn't really care for the bad guys. "
