"I really enjoyed this book about Tricks (Niniane) the Dark Fae heir and Tiago Black Eagle, a wyr sentinel thunderbird. Some reviews I read said this book was not as interesting as the first book, but I was pretty riveted. I think that while most PNR titles have great romances, they can be weak on overall plot. In my opinion, Thea Harrison develops the plot very well and I did not lose interest at all. I loved the characters and really cared about what would happen to them. I'm excited for her next release, Serpent's Kiss, featuring Rune - another wyr sentinel with a gryphon form, and Carling the Vampyre queen."

The mix of supernatural creatures makes for interesting world-building, politics, and relationships.
— Publishers Weekly" 4,5 stars, I loved this book almost as much as I loved Dragon Bound. I will try to come back for a proper review at a later time :-) . "
— Jasja, 2/16/2014" A worthy continuation of her series. There was a note of ambiguity to the ending that really enriched the novel. Fewer over-the-top sex scenes, which also improved things. She has a disconcerting habit of switching point-of-view from paragraph to paragraph that caused me numerous stumbles though. "
— Alexa, 2/5/2014" I really enjoyed Storm's Heart. Miss Harrison takes you on a awesome journey of ups and downs with this one! Although on another note I have to say the ending left me a little let down! I guess cuz you were just like all of sudden at the end and you weren't expecting it! But that is ok I still loved it! On to The next! "
— Debbie, 1/23/2014" Kinda slow for me at first then it grew on me. Like me some Tiago. Niniane had her moments. Good chemistry with her and Tiago. Figured out the bad guy and the why of it early on. Not bad read it's just not memorable for me but I will continue with the series. "
— Spoiler, 1/18/2014" WEll at this point Ms Thea can do no wrong.........another great book and she can't crank them out fast enough for me. Trying to figure out who the 4th book is about can't wait can't wait. "

— J, 9/14/2013" Like it a lot not as good as the first. But still good. I'm glad the other characters were in it. "
— Heather, 9/1/2013" Not as good as the first. Too much tell, not enough show. Too much expositon. I really wanted more dialogue and skipped large parts of the book to get to the next exchange between characters. "
— Susinok, 7/16/2013" Loved it. Can't wait for the next book in the series. "
— Karen, 12/24/2012" I really enjoyed this book 2 in the Elder Races series. If you like Nalini singh, you'll also enjoy this. "
— Lisa, 11/26/2012" love this author but the first book was the best "
— Karen, 2/15/2012" boring... did not grip me at all like the first one. both the female and male leads were terrible. their relationship did not seem genuine and all of a sudden they were in love. terrible. "
