Sandman. Angus. Morpheus. He is known by many names, except his true one, Adrian. When he departs his world, it is to enter the sacred space of sleep, and he is not there to sow sweet dreams. Adrian's mission is to reap the dark energy of nightmares, work that has twisted his soul as well as his once-handsome face. Now he lives only to await the day darkness finally overcomes him . . . and to collect exquisite reminders of what he's lost. But there is one treasure that stands apart. Having risked everything to obtain her, Adrian soon realizes his mistake. For Kathryn has a wholly unexpected power over him, not only for what she represents but for what she is: a soul with desires as strong as his own, tempered by compassion that could save Adrian from his self-made hell—or condemn them both . . .

"This book started out kind of slow for me but gradually picked up and became another fantastic Jacquelyn Frank read that I couldn't put down. I was happy to see the evolution of Adrian from his monster self and how it evoked empathy from the get-go rather than a distaste for what and who he was. Made for a wonderful hero who deserved his happy ending with Kathryn."

Frank is a master of lush prose, combining beautiful fantasy with dark gothic horror and absolutely breathtaking imagery. It's Beauty and the Beast meets Phantom of the Opera---layered with dark sexual tension.
— Romantic Times" It started weird at 1st to me...but after about 4 pages i was hooked...so far all of the series of Jacquelyn Frank is crazy good, great, cannot-put-down-amazing...looking forward to the next book. "
— Lakeisha, 2/14/2014" A wonderful and inventive re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. "
— Karmen, 2/13/2014" This book was charming - kind of like an edgier Beauty and the Beast. I loved the growth and change the characters experienced. The book did take a little while to get into though. I guess the world was just hard to understand until it was all revealed - which it eventually was. "
— Katy, 2/3/2014" Not a fan at all of this book. I was again so confused about what was going on and was concentrating more on that then the characters. Tried very hard to like the characters but just couldn't and I was very happy when the book and series ended. "
— Ellie, 2/1/2014" I absolutely loved this book, a definite twist to beauty and the beast, but for adults. The characters were very real to me and very easy to love and hate at different times in the story. "

— Deborah, 12/12/2013" Whoa. I've seen the Morpheus thing done before, but Frank definitely crafted a world all of her own with this one. Also love the furious love and aggressive first few chapters. Couldn't stop reading and was done in a few hours. Very impressive! "

— Maggie, 4/4/2013" In the second book of the Gatherers series I found myself hating and loving Adrian. I so wanted Kathyrn to fall in Love with him so he would have someone to love. "
— July, 1/19/2013" This book started off a bit slowly. it wasn't until chapter 4 that it picked up and then it was impossible to put down! Beauty and the Beast plot but even more beautifully done! I think it is great! Looking forward to the next book! "
— Chinablue_25, 11/13/2012" Stealing Kathryn was a great adaptation of the Beauty and the Beast tale in another fantastical world. Scenes were intense and the passion boiling. If you enjoyed any of Jacquelyn Franks other titles you'll surely enjoy Stealing Kathryn. "
— Wendi, 9/24/2012" At first was worried because Adrian was really a jerk and scary but Frank really started to show how Kat's love changed him. Really like this after being disappointed in her last couple of books. The end was a little weak but still loved the book. "
