" I'm sad to say that Frank's style doesn't impress me. I really like her plot ideas, but her heroes just have annoying personalities. My other main complaint is her inability to hold a consistent viewpoint. I don't mind authors switching viewpoints - Suzanne Brockmann, for example, does an amazing job at using differing points of view to tell her stories effectively. I do mind when they switch viewpoints within the same scene or even within the same paragraph - it becomes confusing and difficult to follow. Frank has a hard time not telling everyone's viewpoint at once. She'd benefit from identifying several major narrative characters (instead of using the points of view of many major and minor characters) and switching back and forth between those few in an orderly fashion. As I'm in a slump with nothing else to read, I'll be pushing through the next book of this series, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it that much. "
