About Eugene H. Peterson

Eugene H. Peterson, (1932-2018) pastor, scholar, poet, and writer, was the author of more than twenty books, including The Contemplative Pastor. He founded Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, Maryland, and pastored that church for twenty-nine years. He was professor emeritus of spiritual theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, and lived with his wife, Jan, in Montana. They had three children and six grandchildren.

About Rebecca St. James

Rebecca St. James is an Australian Christian pop singer, author, and actress who has published nine books, starred in five films, and produced many full length albums and singles. Her album Pray won a Grammy in 2000 for Best Rock Gospel Album. She is a spokesperson for abstinence until marriage and is a pro-life advocate. Rebecca is now married to Cubbie Fink, a former missionary to South Africa and current bassist for the indie rock group Foster the People. They live in Nashville, Tennessee with their daughter Gemma.
