"Oh Mercy. trouble just seems to always find you. Once again I loved this book. I was just saying that I get depressed when I finish a Mercy Thompson book because I don't want it to be over. *SIGH* Once again this book was filled to the brim with action and mystery. Mercy is struggling to get the pack to accept her and explore her relationship with Adam. She is keeping her distance by maintaining her own home and garage, keeping her life separate. It really doesn't take long for things to start tanking and Mercy is in the middle of all kinds of personal drama. I can tell you this was a page turner and honestly another favorite book. This series is FANTASTIC!"

" I really get immersed in the storyline and the narrator is amazing "
— Matt, 10/20/2020" I love the world that Patrica Briggs has created. All of the characters are great and I love that Mercy isn't your typical heroine. "
— Desiree, 3/6/2019" I think this is the best Mercy Thompson book to date. I was rather glad to bid goodbye to the vampires for awhile. I like the way the relationship is developing for Adam and Mercy. "
— Kalima, 2/20/2014" Nice paranormal reading fluff! "
— Jes, 2/7/2014" This series is sinking fast. "
— Makefetch, 1/31/2014" I loved this book in the series. I know some fans thought Mercy was lost her edge, but I disagree. Shouldn't she be allowed to be in love and soften somewhat because of her feelings, especially after what she went through previously? She still did things based on what she felt was right, not what Adam wanted. I can't wait for the next one! "
— Brenda, 1/30/2014" Not quite as good as the third book but still entertaining and interesting to read. "
— Kat, 1/19/2014" This is a great series, but this was one of my favorites so far, mainly because of the situation with Samuel. "
— Dawn, 1/9/2014" the fae are fascinating in this one. and sam/samuel. "
— Danielle, 10/13/2013" I am really enjoying the world and Characters created by Briggs. There's such a wide variety of creatures and so many more possibilities. Mercedes is a strong female character with plenty of qirks and flaws to make her interesting "
— Deb, 9/10/2013" This was the best book of the series so far! Loved it!! "
— Tessa, 4/23/2013" I've missed Mercy. Smart mouthed, smart, and a realist. I'm noticing there's a lot of "If I go against X, I'd be killed" and "I'm dead if X wanted me that way." That sort of thing is starting to grate on my nerves. Other than that, Silver Borne is another good read from Patricia Briggs. "
— Lesli, 4/8/2013" This series is the greatest. The stories keep getting better as they go on. Mercy is such a great character. The multiple stories lines within this story came together at the end making it a very satisfying read. "
— Jeffrey, 1/19/2013" I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love this series more and more with each page. I can't wait to see what the next installment will hold! "
— Jac, 11/30/2012" I love this series! Mercy is amazing! "
— Karen, 5/18/2012" It had a part or two that I am still questioning. I feel like Samuel deserved more... I don't know... explanation I guess. I love this book! "
— Chelsea, 4/24/2012" I just love this character. "
— Kira, 12/13/2011" Awesome book! Never read a bad book by Patricia Briggs. "
— Heather, 12/5/2011" This was a pretty entertaining book. I like Mercy but the pack stuff is a little heavy-handed. Great use of faerie imagery. "
— Eon, 11/21/2011" LOVES <3 "
— Jesi, 8/24/2011" werewolves and fae, interesting, just not fast enough character development "
— Stephanie, 5/26/2011" I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first four in the series. It seemed slow paced and I didn't feel like I was able to get into the book as I had hoped. Not a bad read, though. "
— Christine, 5/22/2011" The story was paced well and the plot strong. Unfortunately, a lot of the underlying micro-tension was gone because the 'love-triangle' was settled. I thoroughly enjoyed this story simply not on the level of the other stories. "
— Margaret, 5/17/2011" This was a pretty entertaining book. I like Mercy but the pack stuff is a little heavy-handed. Great use of faerie imagery. "
— Eon, 5/13/2011" Mercy is one great heroine of modern urban fantasy. Another great book that I struggled to put down. "
— Kelle, 5/12/2011" I liked the book . she didn't seam to get in to trouble it just happen. the other books she got herself in trouble. so it was nice for a change. "
